 Project Outline

The Tevinter Imperium is but a shadow of its former self. You play as a Tevinter Noble, but more than that can not be said at this time. Don't want to spoil the campaign story :) This mod will introduce a whole new origin story and campaign not set in Fereldan (not hard to implement), with linkage to Ostagar through Duncan. There will also be a secret mission to be carried out in Fereldan but...more on that later. There will also be implementation of a new mage class with Tevinter themed spells (i.e. Heavily blood magic) or an additional Tevinter lineage to the normal mage class. New weapons, textures, models and NPCs are paramount in success of the story.

This is a big job so I need a couple of people to join me. This project can't be successfully completed yet due to the infancy of the DA:O modding scene but WILL be completed in time. I will not let this idea die. I have a couple of steps that need to be done.

1. Write a synopsis of the story (done)
2. Write a detailed, conversation inclusive story (in progress)
3. Draw plans for the Tevinter Capitol, various other tidbits (in progress)
4. Script a new origin story into the game
5. Need to wait until import/export meshing has been resolved
6. Need to build the Tevinter themed areas.
7. Voice over recorded (need more actors)
8. Finalise other toolset things (characters, clothing, weaponry, NPCs, skills)
9. Testing
10. Final Release

I'm expecting play time of the Origin to be around the length of the Dwarf Noble Origin with some branching, FUN missions that aren't just rehashed versions of "assassinate this person" etc etc. Once Ostagar is completed and the character has gone through a little bit of the game, a mission will become available to integrate the Tevinter Origin a bit more into the game than the other origins which just seem to stop at Ostagar and change the dialogue around a little.

Please, by all means, apply if you feel like you could help out somehow. All credit will be given of course, and this project is way to big for just me!

The Team

Ok, so the team is slowly being assembled. Here's what we need.

Lead Scripter (must be proficient in most C languages)
Scripters
3D Art Director
Meshers (advance 3DS Max knowledge required)
Lead Concept Artist
Toolset Cinematographers
Concept Artists
Music Director (Theme music, etc)
Voice Over Actors

More positions will be added pending project development. Applicants will be contacted whether successful or unsuccessful.

I ask that if you are interested in joining the team, that you email me (reeceparry170@hotmail.com) or post at http://social.bioware.com/project/979/ any experience you have, what position/s you are applying for and an example of your work. If applying for a scripting position, you don't need to give an example of your work, just outline your qualifications and I'm very confident we will be able to figure out if you can cut the mustard so to speak pretty quickly.

This team will be run in a laid-back style. We have very little in the way of deadlines, we are doing it for the fun of it so it would be silly of me to expect a professional work environment from enthusiasts. HOWEVER, in saying that, the content produced will be so polished that it looks indistinguishable from the main game. We will start off roughly and slowly swap-in things that need to be refined. All comments by every member of the team will be listened to and feedback is ALWAYS appreciated.

If there is enough interest in this and these forums become too small to house the team, I will move discussion to a private forum of my own.

Thanks everyone!
