The best redeeming asset that Bioware has now is the community of modders on here. Let's hope they can really bust it out.

Does anyone notice the game's textures gives some sort of "corruption"?
Here is an example.
http://tinypic.com/r/316uc2g/5 (no spoilers)

It's not the lighting of the scene, it's just there... forever, no matter which angle I look at it.
It's as if it's "burnt" into those textures.

Anyone who has said the game looks good, can't still deny some textures looks from Playstation 2 times.

Come on, when you actually visit a thread like this, could you make at least some comment about the textures or possible high-res packs?

I'd love a hi-res texture pack. I notice the recycled textures and find them saddening. I do texture modding of my games, but the work load of spiffying up these ME2 textures is too much for me.

I find it strange that those who say the textures are fine have yet to produce a picture of an NPC's hand in-game.

A statement on whether there will be a patch for high res textures or not, would still be appreciated.

After the fiasco that was the high-res textures in The Old Republic, don't waste a single moment of your time expecting it for this game. Expect to be told the game looks as intended.

Ah, yes, high res textures. The alleged pack that would enable PC users to gasp in awe of their game. We have dismissed that claim.

If you think these are the worst textures then you clearly never played ME1.

lmao! Nice try.

I have Dual 580's. $1000 worth of graphics cards. everything is maxed out.

This has nothing to do with the computer you  missinformed children.

Ya all that and I have a 560 textures look fine, not great but by no means bad, suppose you didn't bother to change the settings files either, sad all that hardware and you don't know how to use it.

I think my post history tels i am no fan,and extremely dissapointed with the game as a whole.

BUT,
theres nothing wrong with the pc textures, the games stunning.

the problem with people calling them crap is they dont know how to set thier drivers and apps up properly and have probably been watching lousy texturing in everything.

now the meshing, thats bloody awful and amateurish.

Textures weren't stellar to begin with in the series, although after seeing the graphics in Arrival and comparing them to the ME3 demo, it feels like Textures were not as good as they can be.

But that's the demo. can't tell how the game is since we're locked out here in europe (thanks for that, EA). Lastly, as everyone with a rig here (not the kind you drive) should know, always update your drivers. Nvidia put up a new one a week or so ago, with optimizations for ME3.

What happened to PC users getting better textures?, feels like I'm playing a PS2 game here. Cumon Bioware, I paid £55 for this game.

Faces are nice as are others but some are a bit poor.

Think you have a pretty rose tinted memory of PS2 thiugh my friend Posted Image

In the demo some seemed nice and others really rough but the same happened in ME2. I stated my worries about the textures on another forum when the demo came out and I got the old 'It's a demo, the full game will be fine, stop complaining' and now it turns out like I feared.

BUT it won't stop me enjoying the game.

A lot of the textures are fine, and most you can't even notice.

However, some get extremely 'blocky' when seen up close. This is an issue when these are things you see up close all the time, like main character clothing, or large world textures. This is my only issue.

Not all textures are bad.
It's mostly the clothes/armors textures that are worse.
If you look at the npc's faces, you will notice that most of them have more detailed faces that they had in previous games.
I guess that because Bioware decided to up the resolution of one part, had to down the resolution of an other part,to balance the game's needed processing power to fit the console standards.
If you look side by side pictures from ME3 and ME2, you will notice that the texture resolution of clothes and armors in ME3 is at some cases same as ME2,and in some others look worse in 3 than they did in 2.
I think that the difference wouldn't be so striking to the eye if the face textures weren't upped.
Now the hi res faces contrast with the lo res bodies and makes them stand out.

I should've cancelled my preorder. Seriously though, the quality of graphics and textures may not be among the best but it's not far behind today's standards.

For a 2012 game this game does have bad textures. Considering its 2012 and also their asking price is £55 for a collectors edition this is an insult and quality realy needs to improve.

Most games granted like crysis 2, skyrim and I will mention dragon age 2 released a high resolution pack as a seperate download which is optional for those who want the better graphics and they should of done it for ME2 and now most certainly should do it ME3 and thinking about it SWTOR also needs them as well.

Problem is now bioware seems to have stalled long ago in that department and I am at the point of if this does not improve anytime soon and we don't get a high res pack I am going to have to stop buying bioware games since the low res textures are becoming insulting.

If bioware realy care about the game and customers they will release a high res pack otherwise it clearly shows they are not interested in what the customers want.

 Are they the worst? No
Are they the best textures? No.
What every your opinion please don't insult anyone with a grain of intelligence buy claiming they are PS2 level.
