Hell, I take ashley with me everywhere anyway, I would LOVE to see her romancable for femshep.

Hardcore Christia
n =/= bisexual.

Hmmm... Maybe religious people aren´t so tight assed in the future about such things. I mean, if f.ex Christians didn´t evolve in their belief they would probably still burn people on the stake for just looking at them wrong
Besides, being gay/bisexual doesn´t seem to be such a big issue in the ME universe.

I find it hard to believe that the fundamentals of Christianity changing much in the future.

Who said Ashley´s a fundamentalist?? She doesn´t seem like one to me:?

It seems to me that if pagans such as yourself didn't evolve that you'd still be crucifying, stoning, feeding to the lions, boiling alive, beheading, and generally murdering Christians.  It's been a while since anyone killed in the name of Christ, and it will probably be a while longer before that ever happens again.  But there sure are examples *today* of people killing Christians, aren't there?  And if you read the Book of Revelation, it seems that you're going to be overjoyed to massively do so yet again in the future.  Too bad you probably won't be around to see it, DevilBeast, the boy who lives up to his screenname.

And it seems to me that if you all don't give up your "Big Brother in the Sky" worship, we will continue to be hateful to each other and kill each other over whose is better.

ok...

seriously...

WTF????

I don't mean any disrespect but seriously... WTF?

I live in a mainly catholic country... basically over 80% of the people I know real life in the Chilean LGBT community are christians, catholics to be precise, a few jews, a couple of muslims...

I... the statement you made  is just... *shakes head*

I assume you're in a foreign country (somewhere in Europe, Austrailia, etc.)?

Edit:...and yes, I am in Ameirca, and Christian denominations and organizations are far less tolerant of this. I don't know what goes on in other countries as far this goes because, you know, I don't live in them.

what does that have to do with anything?

I don't know part of America your in, but I don't see that

For God's sake...

I can't believe I have to reference Wikipedia for this, but here it goes:

http://en.wikipedia....ty_in_the_Bible

"Denominations that oppose homosexuality include the Roman Catholic Church[2] the Eastern Orthodox churches[3] and some mainline Protestant denominations, such as the Methodist churches,[4][5][6][7] Reformed Church in America[8] the American Baptist Church,[9] as well as Conservative Evangelical organizations and churches, such as the Evangelical Alliance,[10] the Presbyterian Church in America[11] and the Southern Baptist Convention.[12][13][14] Many Pentecostal churches such as the Assemblies of God,[15] as well as Restorationist churches, like Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons, also take the position that homosexual sexual activity is immoral.[16][17]

Other Christian denominations do not view monogamous same-sex relationships as sinful or immoral, and may bless such unions and consider them marriages. These include the United Church of Canada, and the United Church of Christ.,[18] all German Lutheran, reformed and united churches in EKD,[19] all Swiss reformed churches, the Protestant Church in the Netherlands, the Church of Denmark, the Church of Sweden, the Church of Iceland and the Church of Norway. The Church of Finland also allows prayer for same-sex couples.[20] In particular, the Metropolitan Community Church was founded specifically to serve the Christian LGBT community. The Global Alliance of Affirming Apostolic Pentecostals (GAAAP), traces its roots back to 1980, making it the oldest LGBT-affirming Apostolic Pentecostal denomination in existence.[21] Another such organization is the Affirming Pentecostal Church International,
currently the largest affirming Pentecostal organization, with churches
in the US, UK, Central and South America, Europe and Africa."

Read the first half, and then the second half. You'll see what I mean.

so your gonna assume that every christian in America is like that based off of those groups?

I'm not saying she personally is a fundmentalist. I said the fundamentals of Christianity probably won't change.

No one knows what she is, as it was never really expanded upon past her saying she believes in "God" in ME. I'm just speculating (haha, speculating).

I'd like to invite to Montana, where our residents drown their babies in bathtubs in the name of Christ.

Also, Roger Waters would like to have a word with you.

Can you dig it?

I guess he's probably from the US, where the chruches are...far less tolerant of such things.

I think there's just a very big closet here.  We are so much a nation of contrast and often hypocrisy.  Sometimes the closet door opens and an upstanding person of the clergy gets shoved out.

I was brought up in a family of ministers (no they weren't gay or bi), but my mother who would have liked a role in the church taught us to believe in the value of all.  Being female and not so girly (from a family of mostly brothers), I had to forge my way in areas where women did not go.  I have come to believe that even the idea of tolerance is abhorrent.  Tolerance instantly puts someone up above another-the superior person tolerates the more lowly.  I prefer the idea of just letting others be.  If I see someone different from me, I am not tolerating them.  I am letting that person just be him/herself.  I have had the benefit of friends of all walks of life and they are all just people.  I once read a poem and keep it close to heart.  Desiderata.

In this light I do applaud Bioware for doing what no other game devs have done before-they attempted to be inclusive and to see that gamers are not just one type.  Life is harsh and we should exist to make it easier on each other.  I think that's why we're here.  I think in a small way BW did try to do that.  It's why we can all even talk about all this stuff.  I wish it could be more broadly applied.  I had a friend who got AIDS in the early days of AIDS.  He'd been sick and I stupidly said I hoped it wasn't AIDS-later he found out it was.  He removed himself from his life and went where he was accepted, into the gay community.  I loved him a lot and he ran away because of his family.  He died not long after.  How sad it is that we can be so quick to shut off people because of our own fears and bias.  We've been given a gift, some way somehow, and that gift is other people just as much as it is our own lives.

So I do thank Bioware for showing people in a game that can get along without even thinking twice about it.

I think the only reason this was brought up is because a few guys want to play as femshep and have some girl-on-girl action with what we've already established as the most popular love interest.

Everyone is not and should not be bi.

On the contrary, subjective sexuality is an excellent game mechanic that should be used for greater degree of role playing and replayability.

I wouldn't think too hard about what Ashley is or isn't based on Bioware's notion of Christianity, and what it is and isn't.

Your opinion. I respect it, nonetheless.

You're one of the most civil people when it comes to this subject, not this jackoff that's trying to put words in my mouth.

Then why are you trying to say that I'm making some kind of blanket statement? I'm just saying the majority of Christian organizations and denominations in the United States of America don't accept homosexuality, which is true.
