I wouldn't mind if every crew member was bi. Just like any romance you have the option to not pursue it. And I really cannot see the problem with that. Let me give you an example: Even though I accidently happen to be a hetero male, I am not really into Miranda. Should I worry that she can be romanced? If your answer is "no, because she is a hetero" then you have the wrong mind set.

The good news is that church hierarchy ain't representative of majority of believers.

So are we getting specific about who's a Christian and who isn't?  Many Catholics I know say they aren't Christian and say that they follow the Pope, not the Bible.

Also, have Catholics been going out and killing anyone lately, like homosexuals?  I trow not.

Back to the elephant in the room, many people, particularly non-religious liberals or homosexuals, or both, are very upset about mainstream Christians'/Jews'/Muslims' freedom of religion to express a viewpoint on gay marriage, and Chick-Fil-A.  In my view, BOTH sides have sorely messed up how they've approached the issue.  And, yes, "Bigot" is the go-to word, lately.  Patience that endures is our remedy.

I'm sick of this argument, because it has nothing to do with anything. Yeah, you're right. I don't have to pursue it, and I certainly won't, but I'm arguing on behalf of the character's integrity (haha, integrity). If someone's personality and morality is the antithesis of bisexuality, why should be they bisexual? Just for the hell of it? To be <3tolerant<3?

It's just like the "don't like it, don't buy it" argument.

Tolerance towards same sex romances? Hmmm. That assumes that there is something special going on with non-hetero characters. And there is nothing special going on. It's just a romance like any other. Beides, I consider the integrity of non-hetero characters on the same level as hetero ones. I cannot see the difference.

I give great credit to the vast majority of homosexuals who conduct themselves with honor and self-control in the face of misguided, harmful conduct by the extreme minority of Christians, if such people are even truly worthy of being called "Christian."  More like wolves in sheep's clothing.  Such Christians deserve their condemnation, do great harm to non-Christians' views of Christians, and await judgment for their misdeeds.  

And to give you some insight into what's going on, let me say that if I were the actual DevilBeast, i.e. Satan, I would definitely do all I can to tempt and corrupt and lead astray Christians to influence them to act in a way to harm everyone's view of Christianity, too.  That way there would be fewer true Christians in the future and more fresh souls for hell.
