Every time I try & Invite a friend to a game it sends me back to choose a character then it sends me back to the main Multiplayer screen & freezes up with the message "Joining Game..." it happens if I am inviting or if I am being invited. Extremely frustrating!

same with me and my friends, ive tried everything, i have forwarded all essential ports, i have enabled upnp.
we did manage to get it to work for 2 days, by disabling the firewall and antivirus before we launched the game, but now that doesnt work either. It sucks that bioware/EA cant make the multiplayer work as intended for all customers...

try Reloading your gamelist in origin, this works for me from time to time.
