I don't think so, because I've also started a completely new game and tried to re-create the look, with the same results.  Again, I re-created the face from scratch in ME2 with no problem, so I really don't think it's a lack of cc skills on my part.

Correct.  You add casual outfits by editing coalesced.ini or whatever, which is a totally different file than your saves.

Besides, even starting a new game with no import it's impossible to get the same appearance.  And it's not because I don't know how to set the parameters.  I re-created the face from scratch in ME2 in one try, no problem.
