Okay so i just went to update the game to version 1.01 could you guys please post release notes SO WE KNOW if import bugs where fixed etc or quest bugs. So we can restart our games.

Changes to 1.01

All Platforms

• Fixed issue with disconnection during purchase flow
• Fixed issue with multiplayer consumables.
• Fixed issue with multiple "Connection failed" messages sent to users.
• Fixed several minor DLC related issues
• Fixed hang when returning to Mission Computer from Squad
  in Pause Menu when both the system language and in-game text language
  are set to Japanese.
• Fixed potential crash when loading with quick resume.

PC Only

• Fixed crash on Windows XP on minimum spec PC.
• Fixed lighting and shading on minimum spec PCs.

Xbox 360 Only

• Fixed issue with 64Kbps connection.

40.1MB patch.... not gonna apply it til i hear its safe. Seen patches break saves before.

not a fan of stealth patches either. Could use some patch notes for sure.

DLC fixes, import bugs and MP fixes are my bet those take priority over anything. Its really odd that no notes where posted.

My origin didn't install it on march 6th launch until I clicked check for updates (Origin didn't download it automatically which is really strange unless they know it brakes save games). It seems really odd that no notes are released to let customers know who have issues that their issue is solved. I sent Chris a message hopefully he responds.

I remember seeing a notice in Origin this past weekend, when I pre-loaded, about a Day One patch. I believe it is installed (or at least cued to install) as part of the "release date" one-time check. No info on what it fixes, though I suspect kingsim is essentially correct... little things they caught after it went gold and before launch.

For Win 7 users, you can go to Start Menu>All Programs>Mass Effect 3>Configuration.

Mine says 1.01 but if I right click the icon in origin and "check for updates" it starts downloading a 40.1mb patch...so is this something beyond 1.01?

Okay, that is strange.  I did the same thing and it downloaded an update again.  The version numbers in the Configuration menu did not change (still at 1.01)... however, it did do a "release date check" again when I launched the actual game.

In fact, it appears that it will reinstall this update every time I launch the game, exit, and then select "Update Game" by right-clicking on the game icon in the Origin launch screen.

So I suspect the Day One patch is essentially the release-date check, and Origin is acting screwy.

Bottom line... no big deal.  I don't think this is a bug-fix patch, but merely part of the unlock process.  I suspect it will be a while before we see a genuine bug-fixing update.

It's EA lol. Same thing with BF3 and DICE - silent patches that people need to moan about in order to get fix logs...

I am suffering from the "Mass Effect 3 has stopped working" error. I have not yet checked my version. If it is 1.00, I will see if I can make it update to 1.01 and see if that helps. Hopefully the update fixes at least SOME bugs.

Oh Dear... Casey Hudson. Please dont let EA Destroy your wanderful piece of art. BF3 IMO was great on many levels but failed on many more.. Seems things are now getting catered to the console players and PC gets hung out to dry. I hope they fix the issues for everyone. So Far the only one I have had is Not being able to Scan in galaxies... I can if i reset to default controls and exit to main menu and then come back in. But man that ****s annoying. Mabe these game companies should Really start using closed betas again. BF3 has been out for Months and its JUST NOW IMO just barely our of beta stage. And its riddled with hax not to mention.. Once big companies Like EA start controlling these developers games it seems the support, and quality always goes down. So far im happy with the new game. Minus the few bugs.

On the XBL and PSN you should have the latest version if your signed in. (It won't let you play unless you update). If you are on origin right click ME3 and click check for updates. Your done.

Strange, just opened Origin and it's downloading an 25.1 MB patch instead of 40.1 MB.

The 25 MB patch came, for me, after I had already downloaded the 40 MB one.
You know, for a game distribution client in their own control, you'd figure they'd have a feature as "patch notes" built in by now.

Is it safe for PS3? I downloaded the patch before I start the game but I experienced crashes and glitches.
