Same here after getting through the Geth Dreadnaught. Back on the Normandy the team is still level 41, I am back to level 1. All my autosaves are affected, and I dont have a hard save. Thats a lot of time wasted if this cant be fixed....

The save before the glitch for me - I got stuck on the normandy's bridge, to the right of joker.
I couldnt move or walk. Then I reloaded the game, and go ported to the place where the galaxy map is. After that I got the reset.

This is ridiculous that this is shipping with this kind of problem. I completely lost my save, because I saved over my save before noticing the changes. I am going to see if maybe I can play, but I paid 85 dollars for this and I am not pleased. We need some kind of fix, I don't care if it's console commands, a save game editor or something. This is stupid.

Makes you wonder if they spent those last few months doing testing rather than making a day one dlc if this issue would have been fixed. Props bioware.

It just happened to me again.
It happened to me when I died to Reapers while investigating planets. I accidently click exit game and when I reloaded I was again at level 1. This is absolutely ridiculous.
I don't know if this has something to do with exiting to the main menu or what but I am not at all happy about this and my years of loyalty to Bioware are being questioned.

I started doing a new permanent save every half hour or so. So at worst I will only have to replay half an hour. But it's only happened to me once so far, and I've put another 15 hours into the game, just cured the genophage (I know, I'm slow...but I'm doing ALL the side quests and finding all relics and stuff first
)

I believe the bug is located in the autosave feature. For some reason I believe that the game is unable to get your characters current stats and saves you as a base level 1 character with what you initially start the game with. Then it replaces your ingame character with this level 1.
Since it looks like most people are seeing this bug right after an autosave (starting mission, ending of mission, warping entering/leaving a system, etc). Which leads me to believe it's centered around the autosave

They asked me if I had an affected save game. Unfortunately I don't, if anyone still has one save it for the tech team so they can try to analyze what is causing it and post on here to let the team know to contact you so you can send it over to them.

I've still got one of my affected saves. Where do I send it to?

I have two affected saves as well. Would be willing to send them if it helps.

I msg'd the person who contacted me about the saves that you guys have them. If they didn't already ask and get some from the other people who posted near the beginning of the tread I'm sure they'll hit you up for them.

Just got the message, and passed on my response:
It was not, but I seem to be able to recreate the problem at will! So I have a new save with the issue for you. I have included all saves just in case.
Steps to reproduce:
Note) Only seems to impact "quicksave," and only when quicksave is the most recent save.
1) Go to multiplayer.
2) Create a new character.
3) Name the character.
4) Return to main menu
5) Load single player game.
I have yet to start a multiplayer game, so possibly the game has a problem recording experience values of "zero?" Is "zero" even a number, really?
Notes:
-Game saves to the cloud via Origin.
-Save root directory "bioware" was maually marked 'hidden' a long time ago to avoid clutter in my documents. Subdirectories are not.
I know you must get this a lot, but thanks to you and Bioware. This game is brilliant.

I just posted about this here with as much information as I had: social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/344/index/9726260
Sorry been trying to mention this for days, but my account has been locked from posting here and EA support took WAY too long to get it resolved.

Character reset to 1. Didn't noticed till about 3 hrs of doing non-mission stuff (planets, side quests, etc).

Same issue here. Did a manual save yesterday before I logged of only to find my Shepard back to level 1. My previous hard save is 6 hours older then my current so that's not very helpful. Kind of a weird bug to ship with a retail version of the game.
Some sort of response or work around so we can play the game we paid for would be nice.

I'm just waiting for a PC save editor to come out, I'm not sure how Bioware can fix this issue for those who have already had it.

Mass Effect 3 save editor can be found here: http://svn.gib.me/builds/masseffect3/
Open your save > raw > scroll down to player > level
Its not a fix but its a work around so you can at least play again. Kudos for this goes to a friend.

How does something like this ship with the game?
Mine started today. The only time I have the issue is if I simply click 'Resume'. Just lost an entire mission because of this. Not to mention having cutscenes ruined because it's not loading MY character. Beyond annoying.
