Okay in the previous two games I played Renegade because of the fun factor but in ME3 it's actually extremely viable. I've resolved multiple conflicts without quite being a di** but just being extremely firm. Not only that but it's more realistic than a soldier like Shepard who's been to hell and back... kissing everybody's ass.
What's cool about Renegade in this game is that he's not really a random di**. Basically they toned down how mean Renegade is.
Finally Renegade is legit

That's cool. I didn't like renegade or paragon choices usually. The neutral always seemed the most normal to me. Paragon works a lot, but sometimes people will let you know you're being too nice and rudely if need be. Renegade is fun for cutscene stuff (in ME and ME2), but choice wise it usually makes you out to be a total jerk.
I'm glad to know I might be able to mix it up this time around. I'll try on a playthrough soon. First playthrough I'm trying for Paragon. I want the best possible outcome for first ending. Whatever that may be.
