Okay, so issues about getting the damn thing out of the tin aside, has anyone else had problems regarding reading the disc? I forget exactly what the mission was that I switched over for, but I had disc 2 in the Xbox. After finishing "From Ashes," it quit on me suddenly, declaring the disc as unreadable. I popped it out, cleaned its already spotless surface, and put it back in. Not three minutes later it quits again.
So once more I took it out, inspected it, and put it back in. I tried launching it and now it won't even read at all.
Is anyone else having trouble with this, or am I just the lucky one?
Anyone else have an unreadable N7 disc?

Yeah it did that to me. All of my issues have been with Disc 1. Both are installed to my HDD, but sometimes when I'm loading a mission on Disc 1 I get an "unreadable disc" error.
Additionally, whenever I put Disc 1 in the try after getting a prompt to do so, Xbox pops up with a message to "Please Insert Disc 1" even though I just did. It's very annoying.
However, I fixed the second issue by simply opening and closing the disc tray again, and the first issue required me to restart the game from my last save.

I would suggest installing the game on your hard drive if at all possible. I'm angry for you guys. Hopefully you'll be able to play your game soon

It's working again (for now), but I had already installed it beforehand since that's what I do with all my games. I mean, there's no way I'll ever fill the 250 gigs with DLC
.
Will report back if there's anymore trouble.

This happened to me with disc 1, while installed. Was doing multiplayer, selected 'quick match", start, disc error. Restarted my system, checked the disc, ran fine tell I tried to do a quick match again and what do you know, it just goes black and I have to restart my system again. Doing a reinstall to my hard drive to see if that helps.

I can't get my disc 1 to read at all the only reason i got the 360 version is to continue my character. If i put in disc 2 to start the game loads but as soon as it try to start a new game. and it asks me to insert disc 1 i fails to read it. right now I'm a very Sad Panda.

Same problem with disc 1, 70% of the time getting unreadable disc error, despite the disc looking in perfect condition (and it is installed).

Very frustrated myself, pristine disc 1 will not read in my 360 at all. First got an "Unrecognizable Disc message, then after cleaning it the 360 will not admit that there is a disc in the drive at all, except to flash the power light at me when I try to eject the disc. Disc 2 installed and loaded just fine however. And yes, it was a severe pain in the neck to get the discs out of the N7 case, I thought that I was about to break them at one point before they finally popped out.

Same Problem, Game constantly gets unreadable BS, It's also probably why the game locks up all the bloody time.
It's also why i'm no longer buying Bioware products..Terrible excuse for a gaming company.

Finger Prints on the very edge of the disc 1 (put there while trying to disengage the discs from the CE's spindle dealies) were the cause of my disc being unreadable. It was really odd. Once I cleaned that off suddenly the disc was good again. Swapped to disc 2 again, then had to swap back to disc 1, and poff it didn't again (disc 1 unreadable) so instead of a cleaning the already clean disc I just kept ejecting the disc from the drive until it read the disc right.
