The EA/Origin account policy is a load of bull AND its architects deserve a special place in the ninth circle of hell

Agreed. This is the second time I have had problems with Origin/EA and I'm only been using it for the last month just to purchase ME3. It has been atrocious and the level of support they have is woeful.

Strange... Bioware was all over a thread where it could be percieved that the client was a bit rude toward the EA rep. And here? Absolute silence.

I was just reading that thread and I agree. I have been nothing but repectful in my encounters with EA's help and have gotten nowhere. It would be nice If a Bioware rep could jump in and help out.

So perhaps I should have verbally abused the CS reps for their incompetence. Then I would have gotten Bioware's attention.

I couldn't unregister the games at one account ... that would solve everything !
That damn Dragon Age created a new one ... so it wasn't even my fault !
If there is a solution, please post it here
Thanks

Summary: I was just short of getting authorizations transferred until EA was stonewalling me by saying my DOB's did not match, a claim I find utter bollocks. But there is no way for me to counter them so I will have to turn to someone else.
Do you know the DOB from the old account?

I strongly believe I registered it with my actual DOB but I have no way of countering their denial. Your date of birth is not something you can view on your account nor is it something you can change.

They ragequit on me.

No, the EA help sounds like a bot. Particularly the first one.
That's been my experience too. They use chatbots, I don't believe it otherwise. Sometimes these customer service reps say stuff that doesn't even relate to what I'm saying. It's downright horrible. Definite use of bots going on. Another reason EA is not getting another dime of my money after this game.

Yeah, I believe they use your DOB as a means of confirimng identity. From what I read I shouldn't matter if they don't match as long as you know what the DOB was when you regsitered. Its all really silly anyway, there are better(and far more secure) ways of confirming identity than DOB checks anyway.

I know...isn't it ironic that it's more difficult to validate an EA Origin Account than The Presidency of the United States? (He did offer his birth certificate...)

First line/question wrong. You shouldnt ask them to transfer authorizations, thats piracy at best, and fraud at worst. Just think what would happen if someone hacked your account and transferred all the games to his acc. Surely they are reluctant to do that w/o solid reasons. What you should do is prove that you have purchased(original, not used) all the games/dlc in question, first. Then, ask to do stuff. Can you help me transfer the authorizations (such as games and DLC) under it to another Origin account?

Yes, I understood this and I might try again later, by first establishing payment information. But at the current moment the EA/Origin account system is just horribly, horribly disjointed. Turning BSN accounts into Origin accounts was just an absolutely stupid idea.
