Disappointed with Play.com after being told via twitter that my CE pre-order would be dispatched today. Won't be pre-ordering from them again.

Just got an email to say my Amazon order has dispatched, 6pm so not sure if there's any chance of receiving it tomorrow but its on its way at least.

Anyone who ordered with Play had theres dispatched yet?

Mine is pre-ordered from gamestop and wont be arriving on the 9th, but will only be dispatched on the 9th.

And that's basically Friday. And since they don't do delivery on weekends, the earliest I'll be getting it is next monday or tuesday.

And in the meantime I'm locked out of parts of the BSN.

I've just been on the phone with them (for the UK).
They said they're trying to get all stock in by tomorrow, and dispatch them immediately (for pre-orders). So, if everything goes well, everyone will have a copy on Friday.

I thought they had all the stock in already....plus they told me its first come first serve the first time i called them but from what ive seen people whos order was processed yesterday have been dealt with and dispatched before people whos order was processed monday...the day before...it doesnt make sense.

at least to me anyways

Perhaps different stores (and therefore region distributors) are getting them in first? They did also mention trying to break the release date (as Play is usually successful in doing), but some stores will get it normally. Dispatches will most likely get it tomorrow (although EA's DRM renders PC copies moot until Friday, so either way I have to wait).

i thought Play.com has just a couple of big warehouses that ship all over the place in the UK...even so when i called them earlier this afternoon i was told it would be dispatched today and it hasnt according to the site, thats 3 days now that they have had my money and havent dispatched the game. This is poor business on their part if it doesnt arrive on time as their customer service team clearly told me, on more than 1 occasion, that it would arrive on or before release date. If they havent dispatched it yet thats not gonna happen.

They recieved a ton of pre-orders when GAME collapsed. It's very possible that it has been dispatched, but they haven't had the time to update their site yet.

u think so? not seen or heard of it happening before plus they shipped my game guide today and that updated but then again that was a seperate order and not the actual game. seriously does that happen? tbh i dont normally preorder anything i just get it from the nearest store on release date so this is new to me. I really hope what u say is true.

I think Espilon330 might be right that Play.com has sent off most copies but hasn't updated its website due to there being too much traffic coming from having such a huge number of pre-orders to deal with in such a short amount of time because of GAME's mess. If thats true, its hardly surprising that they haven't updated everyone's accounts, considering.

I have just got off the phone with Play.

My account has been updated to say my copy of the CE was dispatched yesterday, yet I have not received a dispatch confirmation via email.

I have been told that even though it has been updated to say dispatched, it is possible that it has not been posted.

I have been told to expect that email tomorrow.

Yesterday mine said still processing money came out Monday then this morning changed to say dispatched yesterday then this afternoon changed to say dispatched today so I think I might get it by the end of march!

I haven't received an e-mail either. It shows on the orders status it was dispatched yesterday though. Why they didn't actually update it until today I dont know.

EDIT: Ah I see everyone else is getting this dispatched yesterday thing. I hope it comes tommorow morning!

Same problem but mines still not updated yet, hope it was dispatched yesterday like most peoples! Bet the play.com customer service staff are having fun with all the "Wheres me ME3?!" calls!

my play CE was dispatched about 4pm today, no email to confirm it but I checked the website about 3:55 and it was still at the warehouse, then just after 4 it dissapeared from the outstanding orders list and was on my order history as "dispatched"

Frigging stupid.. its safe to say i wont be using play anymore and ive

I use Play.com for most of my online shopping, mainly for Blu-rays, as I get most of my games through Steam. I placed my Mass Effect 3 Collector's Edition order through them after Game cancelled it.

My status has been 'Processing in warehouse' since Monday which is very concerning, I know from experience that orders take 3-5 days delivery once they've dispatched them, unless they are sent via courier in which case it is next day.

It is now 10:34pm, even if they were to send it right now through courier it would probably be too late to get it tomorrow. So Monday/Tuesday is the best bet. And I'm working next week. Gaaaah.

I phoned them up and they said they couldn't give me any information other than my copy has been picked and is in packing. Couldn't tell me whether it would be sent via courier, 1st class or 2nd. I don't know whether to blame them or EA, though. Play.com are usually very good with pre-orders. I got the Game of Thrones Blu-ray two days early.

I think it's most likely the sheer number of orders they may have taken on. Hopefully my order will be processed soon.

They took my money on Tuesday, the least they could do is send mine by courier. It sounds from this and other forums that some people's play order is going by courier (tracking number) and some by standard RM (no tracking number). What I want to know is how do they decide? My order is the CE and is coming by standard RM which is risky IMO (would have selected courier buy there was no option).
And I still haven't got any dispatched email from them.

My status changed about 4pm yesterday said posted 6th March. Just got a email confirming that it has been posted but email as no date on it just says 3 to 5 days so confused.
