I was invitng people up to my cabin because everyone was asking, and I invited samantha up. I was held between offering her a shower and "is that is" so i chose to let her take a shower. Women friends do that. So anyway I got an invitation to join her in the shower and I declined. I hope that I did not initate anything with this, because I want to romance Kaidan in this playthrough and I don't want to mess this up. The lesbian romance is for my roommate's save when she watches.
I think I accidentally initiated the lesbian romance when I am trying to do a full kaidan playthrough

Well I said no, that I did not want to go in the shower. So my femshep just sat there and hung out while she took a shower. I just wanted to hang out, everyone is all over my shep.

Yea it happens with Cortez and Samantha, you get a very subtle "im not gay" option, if your not paying attention and want your character to be state prepare to be shocked, you can turn a happely strate shepperd whos been seeing Ashley instantly gay with one slip-up lol.

Exact thing happened to me with Samantha with my loyal Shep for Kaidan. If you choose not to shower with her, it turns out alright. My Shep and Kaidan are in love and together through to the end

I think by declining, you should be OK. I had a romance with Liara all the way through and it stuck when I invited Samantha up to my room. We just played chess and Liara was still my girl. I even screwed up in ME2 and went after Jacob because I saw that Liara wasn't an option for the paramour achievement. But once I saw I could still have her back, I broke it off with Liara and she was with me to the very end. Kaiden should be cool with it.
