Not going to lie.. this dude had a few tears when first Moridin died singing, almost always brought him on missions in ME2, and then right after Thane dies, almost always brought him along too. Then with the prayer in the end, I thought it was for him but it was for me... at that point I just didn't want to play the game anymore... I had to fight with myself to finish what I started... those were my boys, my best friends in the game and they were gone just like that... I feel there should've been options to save them though, I mean it would've been easy to do, the ship wasn't far from Moridin we could've picked him up, the tower didn't even really "explode" so the ship would've been fine. And for Thane, could've easily taken shots at Leng and to help out Thane you know? Or even got in hand to hand combat with him. I mean damn we weren't too scared to fight that big ass Shadow Broker with our bare hands!!

Was Thane mourned or was his death mentioned by any of the other players in your game? Someone told me talking to your team after his death brings conversations about it, but all I got was "Oh hey, Kaidan's back!"

I'd like to know this too. I'm not ]quite there yet, but I've heard a couple rants from friends about how Thane is never mentioned again after his death, even if he was romanced.

For me he was, most crew and squad had something to say about it. IDK why you huys didnt hear it. And one of my favorite parts of the entire game was when I killed Kai Leng by stabbing him with the Omnitool and shepard exclaimed "That was for Thane you son of a ****!" That was very satisfying.

I got that quote when killing Kai Leng too, but that was it. I wonder if there's a bug, then?

Yep. Bummed me out. Everytime I go to the hospital, there he is...looking out the window. Then once in a while I go into his room on the Normandy to see if anyone is in there....empty. It's pretty frackin' depressing.

I have been past the Thane death scene for a while, but every time I go to the crew deck I go in there because in ME2 Thane was one of the few crew members I went out of the way to talk to, that and I keep forgetting he isn't on the ship.

I teared up when Mordin died. Never really had him in the squad, but I always chatted with him in ME2. His storyline is also one of the best.

The scene where Thane has his final fight and in the hospital is hands down the most emotional scene I have personally experienced in a game ever. I teared up, majorly. Once I recruited Thane in ME2 he was everpresent in my squad, all the way to the human reaper. I love how his character was written, his philosophy, and how he struggles with it. And he's just so..... badass. "He should be ashamed. Stopped from his target by a terminally ill drell." Hah.

It was incredible. Quite frankly, that scene alone carried the game for me. It suddenly hit home the battle that the game is asking the player to fight, the sacrifices to be made, and the losses to come.

Well done to BioWare for perhaps the best scene in gaming for a long, long time.

A lot of sad deaths in my game, but Thane vs. Leng was very epic until Thane did something incredibly stupid at the end. He had Leng beat, gun pointed at him on the floor yet Thane let Leng grab his dagger and then they both ran at each other.

Thane has the advantage of distance with his gun and yet he ran in close giving Leng the advantage. Dumb idea.

If anyone figures out how to trigger the crew comments about Thane's death, could you please post it here?  I reloaded a prior save, ran around to everyone on the ship to hear all their 'we're so happy about Kaiden' comments first before the death scene but still nothing about it from the Normandy crew.  Maybe you have to leave and complete a mission first?

I guess it seems silly to want to hear the comments, but Thane was one of my favorite characters from the series.  His dying without a whisper of acknowledgement by any of the other characters just left a really bad taste in my mouth.

There is an option to save Thane if your renegade status is high enough, Kai Leng kills the Salarian Councilor and you'll have to shoot Ashley because she sides with Udina, if you don't, Garrus does.
