Hello All,

How do I skip cutscenes?  In particular, I have been starting new characters, and have to sit through the start of the game...

Space bar sometimes works, but overall, I have to wait.

I wonder if the same is true for future cutscenes as well.

Am I missing something?

Thanks,
R

You can't it seems, which is something that bugs me about ME2 as well.

Good thing the intro cutscene isn't as long as in ME2.

if you skip the cutscenes you`ll miss 60% of the game

Heh, AJ - not sure if that meant to be a twist to BioWare.... :-)

I just need to do this for "re-do" stuff. I would not skip a scene the first time through.

It's one of the reasons I can't always dive back into ME2. I have played it so many times and know the dialogue so forcing me to watch them, forces me to leave game.

A simple fix would help, but they keep ignoring the community. Best solution would be a window that would pop up asking if you want to skip, just in case you accidentally skipped.

Yeah I must admit it was kind of annoying in some of the fights when I died a few times and had to go through the entire cut scenes / conversations again and couldn't just skip them.

It would be helpful too if they didn't have the 'skip lines' key the same as the 'choose reply' key because maybe I'm watching the clipa second/third/nth time because I want to CHOOSE SOMETHING ELSE and if I hit the wrong one - well, starting from the beginning again.

...or at least not dickishly make the wheel pop up just as other characters START talking so instead of skipping you select and it becomes a cruel guessing game as to which line is the last one again and when does the wheel turn up?

Recently in ME2, the first response wheel I get (to J Taylor) pops up as soon as the clip starts. Which is generally while I'm still shooting mechs. The shooting button (mouse) is ALSO a method of choosing, which means as SOON AS THE MECHS DIE I am locked into a choice.

Developer's vanity. They force you to watch their cutscenes over and over again.

"Skip" should be on Escape and "choose answer" remains bound to the Space-bar. But they will never ever do that because what DuncaaaaaaAan wrote is a fact.
