It seems that my shockwave power doesn't work like it did in ME2.
most of the time it has the little red marker over it, so that I can't use it. Even if the foe is unshielded etc.
only a couple times, did it actualy work and knock down a couple of husks, but most times, it doesnt seem to work.
is this a glitch or some new version of shockwave?
anyone have other powers that arent working right?

ah...ok. I used it alot in ME2, speshully round husks. it was fun to go "bowling for husks"

Sometimes its hit detection stops working. This has happened in both SP (retail release) and in the MP demo.
On the mission where you meet Grunt you can use Shockwave instead of the Firestorm on the pods and webbing. This is where I encountered the bug (several times).
If it stops working just F5/F9 (save & reload) and it will work properly again.

I have been doing a little testing on Shockwave...(actually found Shockwave quite useful in ME2),
and this is what I have found. Until you have the option to upgrade the *Distance* (I think it is once
you get to option 5??), you can only use it relatively up close and personal. I tested this (hardly
scientific, heehee), by slowly moving closer to a group of grunts (did this with both Cerberus
mooks, and husks), until I saw the icon in the power wheel for Shockwave become available.
Seemed to work everytime.

At the beginning range, I find that my shotgun is more effective than shockwave. If I am close enough to use shockwave, then I'm also close enough to do something else. Since charge will also detonate, I don't see the point of shockwave anymore.

Shockwave was terrible in ME2, and it is terrible in ME3. The range is so short it renders Shockwave pointless for a Vanguard (just Nova or Charge) and an Adept (just Throw or Warp).
