This morning i saw this when i tried to play my save which i started yesterday. This popped up. I tried repair install on the DLC thru origins multiple times, checked for patches and theres no advancement. Im using ME3 collectors edition.

Same here, man. I even repaired the DLC, I still can't load my save game.

If it can't connect to EA server, it can't authenticate DLC, and thus will not load the DLC. This means that you can not play any saved games with said DLC until you can reconnect.

I'm connected to EA now. It authenticated the DLC's but when I load the game it says Missing DLC From ashes

I had that, solved it by deleting the dlc and re downloading and re authenticating it
now I've sent the whole directory to my backup server to save me downloading an extra XXXX meg if something else messes up

Hmm, I'll try that solution. I'll be reporting back in a bit

dunno then, you can always try the usual method of purging everything, origin and ME3
you can connect the the EA servers yea?

Yes, I can connect to the EA servers now. The problem is, mine is a digital edition so I'm gonna have to download the whole thing, which is going to take a looong time. I'll probably try that if I have no other option, but I'm still looking for an alternative right now.

****e, friends. I'm on an air card limited download cap out in the boonies. If anyone finds a solution to this other than re DLing the whole thing, please give us a heads up.

Okay, finally got properly connected to EA server and reauthorized via Origin. That worked. Wonder if the server is just slammed with folk.

This is stupid. I found something that might help, but I'm not too sure. I just got it to run (I was THIS close to reinstalling the whole damn thing). Normally, I can't connect to EA servers when I start the game. I usually press the connect button 5+ times before I get into the EA servers. It said verifying DLC's, but the From Ashes DLC wasn't.
Just now I opened up ME3 again and I was fortunate enough to connect to the servers at the start. Strangely, there were TWO sets of "Verifying DLC" notifications. Maybe they fixed the server bug? maybe you have to connect to EA servers automatically? I don't know, but mine's running now. Hopefully it will stay that way.

I've not had any trouble yet, but I hope they will eventually make it so once you verify you dont' have to again. Having to STAY connected to the EA servers at all times is stupid. Sure, most people have high speed internet nowadays, but I know some people that still use dial-up cause they don't play online games or download videos.
"Sorry mom, I was playing Mass Effect 3 when you called... Yeah, it's not an online game but they are so paranoid about DLC verifcation that I have to be signed into the internet to play it."

Does this affect only DLC or is it including the preordered items too? i started the first playthrough without redeeming because of the bad connection to EA servers, but would be cool to use that stuff tho..

unless I read BW wrong you should be able to install and authenticate all DLC (From Ashes etc) once and then it will work forever regardless of online or offline status
the N7 gear strangely doesn't appear if you start a new game AND you're not online. once your game is online and you have the gear equipped it will function which is bizarre imo but not deal breaking.

Aaaaaand mine's not working once more. I'd like to test my theory that you need to automatically connect to the EA servers at the start up of the game for From Ashes to be authenticated, but I've been at it for 15 minutes and I still haven't connected to the EA servers at startup.
All the other DLC's work even if you can't connect to the EA servers. It's just the From Ashes DLC.

Having the same problem with not being able to play because EA server is down. Really this is ridiculous, that I can't play the game (that should have no necessity of being online for single player) I bought because of a problem with their servers is crazy. let me play my ***** game, this constant need for checking for dlc is obscene

Yeah, found the solution to that, once you are able authenticate it, just remember to turn off your internet before starting the game, you can turn it back on once you've loaded your game. It seems the authentication for From Ashes is only made if you have internet connection at start up. Annoying, I know, but it's a temporary workaround for the problem.
