A little history about myself, I have been a gamer sense 1984 and my first rpg was Zelda (*80's Zelda guys) Sense then I have played almost every rpg under the sun. the ME series are among my favorite RPG's, ME1 was outstanding! Then EA took over Bioware and they lost their way.

ME2 was ok at best, you could clearly tell EA had their say in the game. When it comes to ME3 I am left very disapointed!

The game starts out with more cut scenes then you can shake a stick at. You have very few choices that make any inpact on the game its self. I felt as if the story was on auto poliet and every here and there you could make a choice. Also the game played more like Call of Duty then a RPG. Sure they let you pick where you want to go but after that the game is 100% leiner.

I would rate the graphics at a 10, the game has some of the best graphics that I have ever seen on PC. I would also give the sound a 10, the games sound is mind blowing on good speakers. As for the story I would give it a 6, the story left me confused 95% of the game. And only during the last hour did the peices start fitting into place. I felt as if Bioware could have fed us more info early on. And over all game play I am going to give it a 7, beause it played more like a FPS then a RPG.

Over all it took me 13hrs to finish the game and I think its safe to say that Bioware are no longer the Great RPG makers they use to be. Until (if ever) they break away from EA, dont expect too much from Bioware!

Greg

I think this is a great and honest review of Bioware. It's very unfortunate the direction they decided to take.

What? You finished a 40 hour game in 13 hours?

Not sure if trolling or not.

Unless you decided to fling your self at the reapers like some rightous martyr.

Every game has problems, have you ever played Everquest 2? The game has more bugs then you can shake a stick at.

ME1 is the best in the series.

Yep. Depends on what aspects you enjoy / look for the most, but ME1 is clearly the best in my mind.

And then he lossed me again on ME 2 was ok at best. ME 2 was everything great about ME 1 minus the technical problems and bad combat. Although I'd still say ME 1 was an outstanding game.

I am not sure if this is actually honest at all.
It just doesn't really seem like you know what you are talking about..

I don´t mean to be rude, i´m sorry if it came out that way.

You have your opinion and i have mine.

I played it, yes, altought it is no my cup of tea. I usually avoid medieval RPG´s. I got fed up with it. Played table D&D for many years and that is why i got fed up. Played DA:O and DA 2 just because they were called the spiritual sucessor to Baldur´s Gate (my favorite RPG of all time)....and did not liked as much as some people around here.

But i love the ME saga and i´m loving Mass Effect 3.

That is borderline gut wrenching to hear. I was hoping for at least 20-30 hours of playtime.

I don't remember exactly how far I am in, but I have played probably at least 4 hours already and I feel like I have barely started...

It's not a 40 hour game thats a massive exageration. Likely because the guy was showing off the game/making notes as he was playing.

It's between 18-23 hours.

Same, ME2 fixed a lot of those issues it had. And made the game more customizable in the right way. None of the roleplaying was lost in the changes.

Shame that ME3 has lost some of it's roleplaying by autodialogue.

Sorry Greg, you are delusional. 13 hours? Really? What you played, Story mode and skipped all cutscenes, dialogues, did not chat with anyone and went with minimum assets to get the worst possible ending?

I have exactly 13:09 hours right now and I have done 1 priority and 2 side quests!

You lost all credibility when you said *the game has some of the best graphics that I have ever seen on PC*. This only tells me you have not played many games because as far as graphics are concerned, there are much, but really much better graphics in other games.

The Witcher 2 is one of them, a pure 9.5/10 RPG to me. And ME3 definitely is on the same league as TW2, DA:O, Gothic 2 and a few others games that spell Epic!

Every time the game gave me something to do I did it. I guess you could play the game on insane and drag out the fights.

You will get that depending on how much scanning/sidequesting you do.

It's kind of like saying that ME2 was 50 hours long when you spent 20 hours planet scanning(pre patch non PS3 version it's probably not that much of an exagerationImage IPB)
