Sorry Greg, you are delusional. 13 hours? Really? What you played, Story mode and skipped all cutscenes, dialogues, did not chat with anyone and went with minimum assets to get the worst possible ending?

I have exactly 13:09 hours right now and I have done 1 priority and 2 side quests!

You lost all credibility when you said *the game has some of the best graphics that I have ever seen on PC*. This only tells me you have not played many games because as far as graphics are concerned, there are much, but really much better graphics in other games.

The Witcher 2 is one of them, a pure 9.5/10 RPG to me. And ME3 definitely is on the same league as TW2, DA:O, Gothic 2 and a few others games that spell Epic!

I skipped nothing watched every single cut scene and what dialogues are you talking about. The games dialogue is almost non exestant compared to ME1. You get to make very little choices in the game, its 80% auto poliet.

You lost me on ME 1 was outstanding. Let´s face it. It wasn´t. It was good but had a LOT of problems.

And then he lossed me again on ME 2 was ok at best. ME 2 was everything great about ME 1 minus the technical problems and bad combat. Although I'd still say ME 1 was an outstanding game.

Quite a generalization, isn't that? Including a subjective opinion talked about as objective.

ME2 improved on a lot of things. But it also neglected a few of the things that really made me love ME1. I still consider, as my subjective opinion, ME1 to be superior because it appealed to my tastes far more than ME2.

That said ME2 was good. And the combat saw a much needed improvement.

After releasing the Tortanic, ME2, DA, DA2; I'm not surprised that this game is a trainwreck, too. Bioware has made some ASTOUNDING games, Jade Empire still being one of my favorite games of all time, but they aren't the best at making RPG's and never have been. Thanks to EA, a decent game from Bioware at this point would be a godsend.

What bugs me about the review is that you throw out 10's like they're candy. A 10/10 indicates that it is completely flawless. I highly doubt that the graphics and sound are a 10/10, considering all those uncanny valley faces I've seen thus far, and all the recycled stock images from the internet Bioware uses to make these games (ex: Tali's photo, Winter Space, the Illusive man's office, etc.). It lacks creativity and the ME universe has lost any volume it had to it. I'm not immersed in some fantasy space world, I'm just playing Bioware's latest space dating sim. Now with 20% more DLC.

I actually talked with all my crew members. Asked them questions and all that.....surely you must have missed this.

I'm 18 hours in so far, and think I'm barely halfway through the main storyline - and no, I don't walk everywhere, or stand still for an hour admiring the scenery, and I still have plenty of sidequests left to do. At this point, Mass Effect 1 would pretty much have been completed.

While i respect your opinion i highly doubt you having finish the whole game in 13hours. Maybe if you rushed through everything and did no sidequests and so basically suicided into the reapers.

Still 2 days to wait before i get my game though.

You are prolly one of those players who need hand holding through a game because you cannot search, explore and find out stuff for yourself?

Yeah, Insanity does make fights more lengthy and a hell more intense and challenging. But if you want to RP a real hero that is the way to do it. Pain heals, chick dig scars and glory lasts forever. There is no glory in lower difficulties! But the worst thing you can do is to rush through a wonderful game like this.

Did you even find your Shepard VI to talk to? I would bet you did not.

Because as a "hardcore" RPG fan, He knows that rushing to the end while doing little to no looking around for other stuff is always the best plan!

Not once in ANY RPG have i ever done that..

Not trying to knock him or anything but no it's just not the way you do it in RPG's.

EVER!

You completed it in thirteen hours, and you say you're a 'hardcore RPG fan'? Don't make me laugh. I'm more than twenty hours in and the ending is nowhere in sight.

You think it's clever rushing through the main story completely ignoring every other aspect of the game? This game only comes once, it's your loss. In a few weeks time everybody will be talking about their experiences within the game and what to expect of another Mass Effect game. Nobody cares that you 'completed' the game before everyone else and got a crappy ending because you didn't invest yourself.

Have fun waiting the rest of the year for the next good game.

ME1 is the best in the series.

Best story, yes. Best characters, maybe. Best game to play....oh no way in Hades Gamma. The story and characters overcame a mountain of lousy game elements - crummy skills, the MAKO, uninspiring UCW's, re-use of assets that would make DA2 blush, combat that was awful to be generous and an inventory system legndary in how bad it was.

I haven't played the Witcher 2 yet,but obviously I need to if the graphics are that good. As far as my PC goes. Its a AMD FX8120, 8GB of PC 1600ram, Nvidia 560 TI 1GB, and a 500GB hard drive. And I can run the game on max settings and still get 60fps.

On my PC the game is very nice eye candy. I also have a set of very nice Logitech speakers and the sound was outstanding.

I assume all RPG fans know that in a level you always look for where you don't think the boss is so you can scoop up all the assorted loot and XP you can before that fight - I hate the mechanic but that's the way the genre rolls.

What did you expect when you rush through a game?

I hate to tell you this but there wasen't much that I skipped. Don't expect to get 40hrs out the the game, heck don't even expect 20hrs.

That is borderline gut wrenching to hear. I was hoping for at least 20-30 hours of playtime.

I wouldn't worry about it. Same thing was said about DA2. "OMG, the game is only 10 hours long!". Yeah, if you rush through it, it's 10 hours long. I got over 50 hours of gameplay from my only playthrough of DA2.

If you strip away the oblong planets and ikea prefabs you are left with a short (like 8 hours) but very tight game. Anything outside of those plot planets though I tend to agree. But this is what happens when you can only use a single DvD.

I wouldn't say best characters. To be honest, if you replay ME1 now they'll seem quiet dull compared to what they are now. They've all really come into their own roles. Not sure if the story is the best either - so far I'm really impressed with ME3, but can't make that judgement until I've played the entire game.

I'd ask how but I generally it depends on your build/party. Same is true of ME. Vanguards will have shorter playtimes on average than Engineers.

My built to destroy part from DA2 was hours ahead of my "normal" party. They never finished the game because well I just could not face anything beyond chapter II again.

No i did not go and look for every single side quest. But every time if the game gave me something to do I did it. Like I said the game plays very much like a FPS and not a RPG. Every time I went to a new planet, it felt like a new FPS level and not a rpg map.

You can not explore anything the game leads you on a pre detrim path and you get waves of mobs until the time limit is reached. Just like a FPS!

Now if you want to talk about real RPG's. I put over 800hrs into Oblivion, I dont think may people can say that.

unfortunately ea give bioware the money they need to survive, no ea = no funding, no funding = no bioware
