There are TWO codes on that Collector's edition card. One is at the very top, and the other is in the middle. The top one is the one you need to use to unlock the Online stuff. I didn't even notice it at first, and thought that when I'd entered the bottom one that'd done it, and didn't even realize my mistake until my second gaming session when it again asked me to redeem my code. I suspect at least some people (though probably not all) that are having issues might be because of this.
Make sure you enter the right code (if you have online issues)

Good post. I noticed this but I don't want to touch Multiplayer until my first campaign is over. I'm waiting till they release the import face node patch until I start playing. ><

I can't believe I didn't notice this. I kept entering the bottom code and getting the message that the code had already been used. Now I feel really really stupid.
