I remember when people played games just to have fun!!

Now it's almost considered "cool" to nit pick every single thing wrong with it. Hey if you don't like it, don't get it or don't play it. If you are playing it and are having fun then thats great!!

I swear the gaming community is just a big steaming pile of crap in these last 5 years. You can't ever please anyone anymore no matter who makes the damn game!!

Back then, developers didn't have the technology they have now to add so much more. Back in 2-D, that's all it was. So there isn't much oppurtunities or a game breaking bug, like we see in ME3 now.

If someone has paid for something and he doesnt like it, he has every right to complain about it. FACT.

The endings are so disappointing. Its like DA2 all over again. That was the thing I loved about ME2 was that you could have a horrible terrible fail ending or you could have the best ending you can think of and everything in between and they all were affected by whether you got this upgrade, or did this squad member quest, etc. With ME3 its just weather if like green, blue, or red more. Another thing i was disappointed in was the lack of squad member quests. A large bulk of ME2 was doing things for squad mates and you pretty much have to do them to get a romance. I loved these because you always felt more in tune with them and you felt like they real people and you made a difference in their lives. Especially Tali's quest. Which, brings up the issue about the terrible photoshop'd google images stock photo they used for her. Thats not Tali. I refuse to accept that. How the hell are you going to hide her face for 5 years and instead of making an actual character model you give us some stupid human with three fingers thats stuck on my bedside table for the whole game. Hopefully they will make a DLC that is reveolved around Tali and allows you to see her REAL in game 3D face and then they put a pictuer of that over that terrible picture of some random chick. And, is it just me or why the hell are there so few squad mates? In ME2 by the end there were 12 in ME3 theres only 7. And why are all the fetch quest so boring all you do is scan the planets and then you magically get it. They could have actually made it to where you land and recover whatever your going after. This would have added many more hours to the game.

Finished 1 playthrough. Game was better than i expected (dragon Age 2 had meant i was expecting this game to be terrible tbqh). My biggest disappointment from that playthrough was the ending i got.

What I said to Bioware after seeing the endings:

I am enjoying it immensely, seems to be moving the story nicely to conclusion.

I'm actually having trouble getting through the game right now. Just passed Sur'Kesh. It doesn't have the same allure that ME1 or 2 had for me. The story just seems weak; the only motivation I have going forward is seeing what happens to the characters. Also, I've read enough about people's reactions to the endings that I'm not really interested in seeing how things play out for Shepard.

All in all, it's a good game, but the story is probably the weakest part of it (which is kind of depressing, considering Bioware's reputation for good storytelling).

I'm most disappointed by the dialogue, though. Not much of it is very interesting; a lot of it basically amounts to characters repeating the same sentiments, "We'll get it done, Shepard" or "The Reapers are soooo powerful!" or "Cerberus is ruining mah day!" or "Nobody cares about the war!!! WTF?!?". On top of that, you have a massive amount of auto dialogue, and most of the interaction I've seen with squadmates on the Normandy triggers a few lines of auto-banter between Shepard and <insert squadmate>, skipping a proper cutscene entirely.

A lot of small character arcs are also handled poorly. Liara and Atheyta come to mind.

No. I'm not disappointed. I wasn't even disappointed that I didn't get to import my ME1 face. I like the new one better.

The game itself is good but the ending was bad, IMO.

Game is beyond disappointing. Mass Effect 1 was disappointing in that it had some great ideas that didn't quite pan out. ME2 and ME3 don't even try. Level design is still linear with no exploration at all, crummy Citadel once again and that's the only hub there is this time, nowhere near enough skills to matter, get a worthless character like Vega instead of getting Wrex back, getting chased around by tiny reapers, terrible sidequests and journal, and that ending casts a pall over the entire series. Some improvements are nice but this is just a slightly tweaked Mass Effect 2.

Amazing to think that this is it with so much left unseen and unexperienced - we never get to see the Citadel in it's scope and glory again like we did in ME1, we never get to see Earth before being destroyed, we never get to explore wierd and wild planets again, we only catch glimpses of other species' homeworlds, it's just ridiculously sad what potential they had with this series and how it was squandered away chasing the mouthbreathing demographic.

This, I'm playing ME1 now and its crazy to see the decline in quality and originality.

So far I'm enjoying the story (only got the game today), but the shoddy framerates on the PS3 version is just disgusting and unacceptable. Disappointment is not a strong enough word for what I'm feeling at the moment. First Skyrim, now Mass Effect 3... pathetic porting is pathetic.

I will still play it but take the endings with a pinch of salt. Still among my favorites though.

I just finish the whole game and I love it and it was epic, but yes I'm dissapointed, all three endings kind of suck in their own way and after the ending credits, my character was reset.

-sigh- the only thing you should be complaining about is the very ending of ME3. Stop lamenting over classical RPGs, the 90's are over. I know your type, but I'm sorry to say you'll stay disappointed until you are old and grey.

I agree with this post.

:wizard:

I enjoyed creating a character and directing the story and its character conversations..  the import issue makes it feel like I no longer have my chracter from the previous games and the lack of interactive conversations vs. the previous games makes me feel like I have less control over my persona in the game..

This makes the game less enjoyable for me...

...if everyone just "accepts" things which makes the game less enjoyable for them then companies won't learn.  Critical fans help keep companies sharp and help maintain quality...

This.
