Also; the writing. Drew Karpyshyn, I miss you. We all miss you. The damage is done to what you created and on behalf of everyone: I'm sorry.

I just finish the whole game and I love it and it was epic, but yes I'm dissapointed, all three endings kind of suck in their own way and after the ending credits, my character was reset.
Holy crap you've finished it and seen three endings already? How short is this game?
I just finish it today, I'll be posting my ending videos on youtube later.

That's exactly how i feel. I absolutely hated Zaeed's dialogue. The worst thing that could ever happen for me in ME was to have that piece of crap integrated to all my squadmates in ME3.Mr. MannlyMan wrote...
I'm actually having trouble getting through the game right now. Just passed Sur'Kesh. It doesn't have the same allure that ME1 or 2 had for me. The story just seems weak; the only motivation I have going forward is seeing what happens to the characters. Also, I've read enough about people's reactions to the endings that I'm not really interested in seeing how things play out for Shepard.
All in all, it's a good game, but the story is probably the weakest part of it (which is kind of depressing, considering Bioware's reputation for good storytelling).
I'm most disappointed by the dialogue, though. Not much of it is very interesting; a lot of it basically amounts to characters repeating the same sentiments, "We'll get it done, Shepard" or "The Reapers are soooo powerful!" or "Cerberus is ruining mah day!" or "Nobody cares about the war!!! WTF?!?". On top of that, you have a massive amount of auto dialogue, and most of the interaction I've seen with squadmates on the Normandy triggers a few lines of auto-banter between Shepard and <insert squadmate>, skipping a proper cutscene entirely.
A lot of small character arcs are also handled poorly. Liara and Atheyta come to mind.
I also have very serious issues with the sidequests. 90% of them consist of you hearing some auto-dialogue, going to some random planet in the depths of the galaxy, all because you heard some rumors of a random dude in need of an artifact.

One thing I'm seeing occassionally is the notion the game was rushed or the dev team didn't try as hard somehow. It's disheartening to see that because I can tell you the development team worked *incredibly* hard on the game, including a ton of personal sacrifice (hours worked, holidays skipped etc). This was a labor of love for the team and we're all very proud of what has been accomplished. There are bugs that got through (face import. we know) but they are being investigated for fixing etc.
I think a fix to the endings is also needed if you want to calm down the angry mobs that have formed bcause of them.

You know what disappoints me? Consolisation. I'm a PC player, and I understand that everything needs to be simlified for a controler - I get that - but when you're on a PC having multiple actions bound to one button is a real pain in the arse.

Why is it, that great & talented writers have a tendency to get up and leave right in the middle of their stories? I'm speaking about the gaming industry specifically here, I mean is this a conspiracy? Are they being removed because they are too creative for their own good..? I've seen things like this happen frequently during the course of the past decade.

It's funny, seeing what I wrote two days ago, before I witnessed the ending(s). I was so full of hope. I stayed that way, right until the last 10 minutes...Mx_CN3 wrote...
I'm not disappointed in the least. I love this game. Absolutely love it. I have about 15 hours played right now (not including many reloads, vanguard + insanity + FREAKING CERBERUS TURRET SPAM OMG = a reasonable about of reload time). It's by far my favorite of the series, and I loved ME2.
My only problems with the game are the mission journal (that doesn't update as you do missions and, in general, isn't very helpful), and the various guys that do melee instant kills when I can't see it coming. And that's it. I don't think any game before this has actually made me cry (TWICE, even, and I'm not even halfway done), or made me laugh as much. The meme references are all great, the characters are great, writing is great, combat is fantastic.
I could not ask for a better game. Well done, BioWare.
Now, yes I am disappointed. 1% of the game ruined the other 99%, and have basically killed any desire to replay it (only reason I am is because I hear there's a different ending for NG+).

After 6 hours of game play, sadly I can say I'm a little depressed. I mean, it's an okay game still, but lacks the feeling the last two installments have. Not being to see my Shepards face again from ME1 in ME3 kinda took away the "emotional" attachment. (I don't even know who you are!!) Auto-Dialog. I think Ashley was right about Cerberus controlling Shepard, I barely have input in what he says! Even the neutral option is gone, when a selection of dialog actually pops up. Is it me or is Liara ugly now? Characters look different now. Can't tell of its for better or worse yet. Combat is fun, as a big player of all three Gears of War I see a slight resemblance but not how they say. Anyway, just my opinion.

Listen. People wouldn't have these strong emotions and then post them on the forums if they didnt like the game. They love it. I love it. The battles we fought against the Reapers and Cerberus, the chance of all intelligent organic life getting exterminated by machines if Shepard cannot unite the galaxy. It was awesome. And no mission felt the same. Everything was perfect.
And then came the last 15 minutes of the game...

Yup, this is it. Very few people have disliked the majority of the game, but I've seen maybe 1 in 50 that liked (or at least didn't vehemently dislike) the endings. It's a shame how those few minutes completely destroy not only ME3, but ME1 and ME2 as well.chaldry wrote...

Jarret, we do not doubt the love that went into this game. However we all feel a loss with the ending of the game, granted that was to be expected with such a great series ending. But many of us would have liked a (albeit a bit cheesy) "happily ever after" ending.
Regardless of what I and others think of the ending. The game is magnificent and you all deserve accommodations.

But I learned something from this. Never, EVER buy a Bioware game unless it's one year old. Then they fixed the bugs. Hopefully.
Nice effort though. I just go back to Skyrim now. better graphic, better dialogue, better game. Better luck next time Bioware.

One other thing that kinda annoys me, is that most of the side missions are fetch quests now, items you get just by scanning planets, or items you pick up during other missions.

You must understand, and I think I can speak for most of the ME fans, is that the ME3 game is incredible, excellent. But when it gets to the last 12 minutes of the game, everything sort of bombed. We love the BW team for making this incredible franchise... but my god the ending. The ending! The last thing I would want to do is hurt the team's feelings, but most of us want to see an alternative if possible...
