I have Mass Effect 3 N7 Collector's Edition (the boxed version, from Best Buy if it matters). I imported my Shepard (female vanguard, if it matters) from ME2, played for a few hours last night, then saved my progress and quit. Returning to the game this morning, I cannot find an option to load my save or continue the game, and all my achievements are gone. My Documents\\BioWare\\Mass Effect 3 folder contains only a file called LocalProfile.sav, which I believe is my save file, correct?
Am I the only one? Is this a known glitch? Is there a fix?
Also, if it's at all important, my BioWare directory is actually symlinked to a folder on a secondary hard drive. Origin Cloud is enabled.
Cannot load saves

Had the same problem since release, but I took a different approach to fix it.
Seems my problem was a disparity from the Library Location of the "My Documents" file (which is where the Bioware/Mass Effect 3/Saves is. The game would create this Mass Effect 3/Saves files always under the actual library location of My Documents. The problem was that under the Documents library, when right clicking and selecting properties to modufy the location of the library, it was different from the actual location that windows had for the My Documents Folder, like so:
Library Location for Documents (modified by me by editing the " Libary Locations option when right clicking and selecting properties" E:\\My Documents"
System Location for My Documents E:\\ you can see and correct this by:
Hit Windows Start, Click under your User name, there you will see all your libraries, right click on My Documents and Select Properties, selec the Location Tab, there you will see the actual location in which windows has your My Documents folder.
To correct the problem, I changed the location from E:\\ to E:\\My Documents. It may ask you to create the Folder since it may not exist, do so, it will also ask you if you want to move all your files to the new location, I selected no, because otherwise I would get an error message. After that is done I deleted the Mass Effect Folder that contained the Saves folder completely, then ran the MassEffect3Config.exe (under your install location which for me is in the H drive), this will generate a new Bioware\\Mass Effect 3\\Saves folder in your My Documents Folder, and viola, ready to play and Save/Load your games.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Yeah, found some stuff in the fora about it (broke the search-first rule). I simply uninstalled the game and all its data, undid the symlink, and reinstalled. Works great! I'm on Menae right now.
