This is a compliment. Sat down and played the first 4 hours yesterday and the first thing I came away from it was…feels like ME1 in ME2 skin. Seriously. The atmosphere, the music, the characters, even the gameplay had me immersed and reminded me of the ME1 days. Nice job Bioware.
 
Gameplay is soooo smooth. Even the fighting elements felt improved over ME2. There’s a slight learning curve to it, but once you play with it for a while it becomes a simple, smart, flowing system.

For instance, I quickly learned NOT to use the WASD keys while sprinting and to use the mouse for direction only. This seemed to help keep shep from unintentionally jumping in and out of cover. Which by the way seems a little more responsive (faster) than the previous game. I was a little worried with having a single action key. But, so far it’s been a great experience.
