Game Freezing Every Few Minutes

It is completely and utterly decimating my gameplay, when every few moments I have to endure a long pause in both action and cutscenes. I am still on Earth: Vancouver because of this problem. Worse still, it seems I am the only one who is having it so far, as browsing the forums has yielded very little.
I really am hoping here that someone has a fix, as I have nothing at this point. My graphics card and computer run this game perfectly on max settings, this problem aside.
For the sake of being complete in hopes of getting a quick solution, whatever it may be, here are my system specifications:
Geforce Galaxy GTS 250 card with updated drivers
AMD Phenom II X4 820 Processor 2.80GHz
8 gig RAM
64 Bit Windows 7 System

Still getting freezing/not responding issues every few minutes, during scenes, gameplay, whatever that starts every few minutes, and ends after a few seconds. Very disruptive. Very annoying. Very ridiculous.

The only identical setup element like yours is Windows 7 x64 (SP1 and patched). I also have a Geforce card, though it is an EVGA 590. I was hopeful the 40MB update that downloaded today might help with this, but I get the application lock ups (or freezes) still. This appears to affect both SP and MP.

I have something relatively similar, though not anywhere near the degree you have it . . . plus what I experience is either a temporary freeze, or an outright crash of the app (it's a bit like the roll the dice.

I have never had it outright crash, but it is constantly a temporary freeze. Happens every few minutes, give or take a few. It is enough to be extraordinarily disruptive and annoying, but not "game breaking" I suppose, but that depends on if you can stand a few seconds of freezing each time this happens.
I could be wrong in saying this, as I have not stared at the menu long enough, but this seems to always happen during gameplay and cutscenes and such, never during the main menu (start new game, resume, options, load game, etc. That, when you first boot up the game).
Again, it may happen there too, I just never looked long enough to find out. I have an extremely hard time believeing this is our hardware screwing us though.

Could you PM me your dxdiag so I can take a look? Hopefully we can get this sorted out for you.

Ok so my issue seems to have stopped after turning off Spherical
Harmonic lighting and anistropic filtering. it also coincided with the
first mission after you leave the citadel. try that combination of
setting changes and see what happens
Another user said this fixed it for him. It didn't for me, but hell if anyone else is having this issue, it may help them.

My setup is a Core i5-2500K, 4GB RAM, Radeon HD 6950 2GB (Catalyst 12.2 Preview drivers, but not the latest Pre-Certified release) and Windows 7 64-bit.

The user I quoted above said that Vancouver, Mars, and the Citadel gave him trouble, but it stopped afterwards. I also know this has nothing to do (at least in my case) my system. At this point, I'm wondering if this is something that just needs to be patched.
EDIT: Turns out it came back for him.

I've tried changing video settings, video drivers, SLI enabled/disabled, and everything else I could think of.
My specs:
ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3
i7-2600 Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz LGA 1155
16GB DDR3 2133 PC3 17000
2 x ZOTAC GeForce GTX550 Ti AMP
2 x Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 128GB SSD RAID 0
Windows 7 64-Bit
Tried the last three NVidia GeForce driver versions 295.73, 285.62, and 280.26... same results.
...also updated, repaired, and re-downloaded game files multiple times. Still no fix.

The only thing I haven't tried yet, to see if it works or not without freezing, is multiplayer mode.
EDIT: I have even put all my settings down to their lowest standard in Mass Effect 3's config editor, to no avail.

If the files are fragmented heavily then there is a possibility that game will lag as access times for data will be hampered due to heavy fragmentation.
And are most people overclocking hardware?
Would like to say to Nomoloz, both SSD's in raid 0? Hope you don't have a windows fart, because raid 0 would mean you would need to reinstall Windows again (since parts of a file is saved on one drive and the rest on the other drive/s). I would have them seperate, imho

EDIT: Keeping Cool N Quiet as a last resort though, I've never had trouble with it yet, I'd rather not disable it until I am sure it'd stop this occasional seizing issue.

edit: The screen tearing that is. The lockups are there for 10-20 seconds no matter what I do.

i thought that it stutters only during cut-scenes but when i got to gameplay prologue it stutters as well
i installed on launch day and have been playing multiplayer with no stutters at all. Now after applying the DLC the issue started happening
Specs:
Intel E8400 3.0
AMD HD 6850
4 Gig Ram
Win7 64bit

Though Furia, unless by stuttering you didn't mean the same freezing/unfreezing I am receiving, you said that multiplayer is fine? If that is true, that means only campaign is having this freezing issue, as the start up menu is devoid of it, but everything inside campaign from my menu's to gameplay and dialogue scenes is afflicted (No cutscenes from what I can tell),

The only thing I can tell you Nomolos Voz, is that (at least for me) it does not occur in the main start up menu, and that I am sure like yourself, the game runs very smoothly, besides this issue...
yeah, I didn't have any problems in menus either.
Had already tried all the suggestions provided so far.
Defrag not necessary, brand new drives and windows install.
Even tried running it without Origin running in the background at all (there's a way to alt-tab out of ME3 during certain cutscenes and close Origin, and go back into ME3 without it closing down automatically) ...thought maybe it was doing some anti-piracy checking every few minutes, even blocked all net traffic... still had freezing.
Tonight I'm going to try swapping out my NVidia cards for an ATI card I have to see if that fixes the issue. If not, I'll try another system I have, and then with the same video cards and see if I still have the issue. I'll let you know how the troubleshooting goes...
