For some reason, I can't see my Mass Effect 2 save when trying to import my character. I go to the import character option, and nothing is there. The save file is located in the default Mass Effect 2 location. Any ideas?
Mass Effect 3 won't detect Mass Effect 2 save.

multiple threads about this

Some work for some, so far everyone I've tested has not work (at the same time I'm at work now so can't try it until I go home).
No specific bioware answer except the info on the EA help site which is basically repeated.

Did you place the save file within its own folder with the format of Name_class_Creationdate (121212) ? And did you put that folder within the Save folder of ME2?
I didn't do that at first and the game wasn't seeing my saves either.

Yeah as said above those solutions are working for some, me personally I haven't had any luck with any of them. At the moment I'm attempting to reinstall mass effect 2 and see if that helps.

Hi! This issue is currently under investigation. If you have a PC ME2 career that has completed the game but cannot be imported to ME3, it would aid in our investigation if you could send the career to us. Keep in mind that if your Shepard died at the end of ME2 they cannot be imported.
If possible, please do the following:
1. Find the ME2 Save directory. By default, this would be stored in C:\\Users\\YOURUSERNAME\\Documents\\BioWare\\Mass Effect 2\\Save.
2. In that directory, find the career in question. This would be a folder named something like “John_31_Soldier_140210”
3. Compress that folder: Right-click it and select "Add to John_31_Soldier_140210.rar"
4. Email that .rar file as an attachment to biowaresaves@gmail.com with the subject “ME2 Import Saves”.
5. Make sure to delete the .rar file to avoid loose save files kicking around in the save directory.
Any saves you can provide will help us narrow down a solution. Thanks!
