I live in Europe, so I won't be getting the game until 6th :crying:, so... Will the toolset work without the game?
I could at least play with level editor, and such, while waiting.

The Dragon Age: Origins Toolset can only be installed on a machine that already has the full Dragon Age: Origins game installed. You must have a registered copy of the game to use these toolset downloads.

Use your extra time to go through the toolset wiki and make a few notes so that when you do get the toolset you will have an idea of where you want to start.  :)

I see my employer has paid Bioware not to allow me to work on areas while on the clock...

Will we be able to install the game/toolset on 2 or more computers? Would make things alot easier, since it is a drag to close/open the game/toolset each time u wanna test a setting. But i guess not....

You can install your copy of the game on as many computers as you want, and therefor the toolset on as many computers as the game. It's sad they force you to have the game installed to use the Toolset, I mean, It's not like it's going to do anything to stop pirates it's just more crap to annoy us legit players.

Uh...The reason you need to have the game installed to use the toolset is that it uses the game resources (like models, textures and such). It would be pointless duplication to include them separately with the toolset (and that would make the download huge.....)

And so that people who haven't paid for the game can't use it...

What's funny is they will be able to use it still, as cracks for games come out nearly the next day for new releases. That's why it's pointless to put in stuff that just makes it a hassle for legit users, any game on PC that requires the CD for instance I will usually get a crack so I don't have to stick the disc in just to play the game(plus it preserves the cd).

Do you think that Bioware could release the full toolset on a seperate disc for console owner?

It's a shame Bioware won't accept my D2D DDCE key. Thanks! Didn't want that Toolset after all I guess. really with they'd fix or at least acknowledge these problems.

It will require the PC version of DA:O to be installed as it requrires the game's engine and resources to run.

The toolset isn't available for download yet (at least it wasn't when I went to bed 7 hours ago): Scott and his team are working on it.
