I'm trying to use the cloud so I can go back and forth between playing on my laptop and my desktop. But my cloud saves have all disappeared.
That is awful. I played for about three hours last night and it's all just gone.
Cloud save games are gone. profiles, careers everything... unbelievable

Try using sugarsync for your cloud saves. That's what I do. Incase your unfamiliar with sugarsync, it lets you select folders on your computer that you can select to save to the cloud. Select the ME3 save folder from my docs and it will automatically save it to the cloud while your playing.
I don't use it like you do, to go back to previous versions, but it's effective in the sense that if my HDD crashes, I will always have my backups for games saved in the cloud. I don't trust Origins cloud backup service.
I've just checked Sugarsync to see if you can view previous game saves, and it does allow you to. The problem is it only saves the previous 5 versions. I guess it doesn't help you out much for this sorry.

your best bet is to save your Save folder on a usb flash drive to transfer back & forth or you can transfer via networking two systems together.

OK, evidently the cloud didn't like that I had my Bioware folder not as a real folder but as a symbolic link to another drive. I moved my Mass Effect 3 folder back to my C drive and the cloud sync is now working.

I've unfortunately suffered the same fate - also with a symlinked BioWare folder. I'd say that it is a colossal fail for Origin, if it cannot handle a simple symbolic link. And NO cloud service ever should delete files without the option to recover them!!!
It would be good to bring this problem to the attention of the Origin developers!

Can we please get some info from the Origin devs, if this symbolic link issue has been resolved?
