Keep crashing as I enter a lab in the sanctuary. Can't remember the planet think its called Horizon. I have tried all of the "fixes" from the DLC crash thread. Including the following:
-deleting .dll
-repairing/patching
-reinstalling
-Windowed Mode
-Disabling Overlay
-Diabling Anti-Virus
I am using a fresh ME3 save with NO DLC loaded. I also have the latest drivers fro Nvidia. Sorta frustrated as this is a main story quest and I am stuck till this is fixed.

I have the same issue. I'm really hoping it's a problem that I can fix without restarting the whole game. Tried restarting the mission, didn't fix the issue.
EDIT:
Ok so I might have fixed the problem. In Origins, richt click on ME3 and click on "check for updates." Wait for the update to install and play the game. I got past the part where I crashed... Hopefully it solved the issue and I don't crash fruther along ths mission.

I had the same problem when entering a room in sanctuary. Also have the latest patch and driver update.
I solved my issue by going into the Origin clients settings and disabling the in game overlay. I don't know if this will solve your issue but it worth a try.
EDIT 1
Been trinkering with the origin client and ME3 settings. Gone though couple of tests, it will crash regardless of whatever graphic setting is on or off. But having all the graphic setting turned off raise the chances of me passing though the room I crashed to desktop.
It might be GPU related problem but I dont know. I'd check my GPU tempeture while playing it's around 50-60C
Im using Gigabyte Geforce GTX460 1gb model with driver version 295.73

Same thing here as well, re-installed graphic drivers, updated game, ran repair install, restarted mission and still it crashes at the same point every time. This is a huge disappointment, 17 plus hours and now I can't complete the game. Getting the server disconnected warning every hour was annoying but at least it didn't break the game...

PROBABLY THE SOLUTION!
I also had the same crash as you and looked for a solution on this forum. Since there wasnt any I just tryed something myself. Update the game first and then went back in to try a couple of times. xD running and jumping and letting my squadmatess go in first.
Then I restarted from an earlier auto save on Horizon, mine was from the part when you see Kei Lang the first time on a screen but i guess that shouldnt matter, anyway so I did that restart after I had a couple of crashes on that same part of the Sanctuary where you run through that door when 'searching the perimeter' after the part where you climb the ladder after the part where you see a chat vid from miranda's dad and the illusive man.
I thought that might be the best idea to start from a new save cause sometimes it does fix the problem when you start from an earlier save. Anyway as i went through all those mobs again I came to the video where you see Miranda's father and the Illusive man chatting. I went through that one spacebarring all the chat cause i wanted to continue. After it was finished I noticed I was asked to look back again by one of my teammates on the screen next to the one you see the chat on and I saw a quick image of Kei Lang grabbing data. I dont know if you saw that part but i hadn't seen it on the first time it crashed. After i saw that I went up the ladder and killed the mobs. I crossed my fingers as I was going to walk through the door again and IT DIDNT CRASH!!.
Now the main reason why I post you this is that I wonder if you also missed the part of Kei Lang taking the data and looking at that video. My guess is that makes the crash occuring cause if you dont know that Kei Lang is stealing the data there is no reason to continue ey
I hope this will help you guys further with your game and have fun!

My game ran flawlessly up to this particular bug. I restarted the mission through the Load menu, ran the mission again and this time I could go into the room and continue on. I'm glad, but I don't see what I did different for it to work. Good luck to you all.

Just happened again despite my recent update.
The possibility of missing a scene like on From Ashes (you have to get the pieces to the pizzle OUT OF ORDER not IN ORDER, so signal goes last or else you crash) makes sense, but I don't have an earlier save so I have to restart.

By changing the resolution dynamic shadows and anti aliasing through the basic graphics option in-game to all low, going through the door near the access to the other, and then reverting my graphics I was able to pass.
For some reason this section doesn't like shadows, aliasing, or high resolutions or the NVidia EVGA 570X

Hi all...I've been crashing at the same point.
I have been in regular contact with Chris, From the dev team, And he is asking for saves from the point right before the crash:

Hey Beastly - your bug has been causing us no end of headache. The guys investigating this problem are looking to see if we can get your save to try to reproduce the issue consistently - it might be something specific in your inventory, or something we just haven't though of. If you are willing, could you email me your save (the one that allows the crash)?
Due to an overridden quicksave, I can't provide him with a save, For another 12-24 hours, So, If you guys/girls could email him your saves, JUST BEFORE the crash point, It would be IMMENSELY helpful!!
Cheers

Had this, loaded a couple of times, nothing worked. Then I tried sprinting through the door and for some reason it worked. Weird.

I have tried what kolere said, did not work, tryet alot of things, like sprinting, but still crash, think it is more luck if you do get it to work, their event system it just bugged.

Happening for me as well - I tried dropping the graphics down to minimum (as I did with the infamous corridor on Illium) but no joy, here's hoping they patch it soon

Ordering my crew through the door first and to destroy the explosive thingy inside, after which I sprinted through the door, solved it for me.

I tried everything else before restarting the mission, and nothing worked. Finally, I restarted the mission, made sure to see the entirety of Miranda's message (although I'm pretty sure I saw it the first time, too) and sent the crew through the door first. Not sure which of those things did it, but it worked!

Please help! I'm having the same issue and it's stopping me from finishing the game, anyone got any other suggestions/fixes?
#24
Posté 13 mars 2012 - 06:35
I have another maybe fix (I tried all the suggestions above and resorted to figuring it out myself). What I did was go right up to the doorway where it crashes, quick save, then edge forward into the room and quick save frequently. When I crashed I reloaded the quick save and I was pleasantly surprised to see it worked first time! It might take several tries for other people (if it works at all). It might sound like a bit of a noobish way of doing it (well it does to me) but it worked so... Hopefully someone finds this helpful!

Worked fine for me my first time through, but my second Shepard can't get through that doorway
