Good to know will try that when I start ME3 again.

I tried a fix that worked in ME2 and it worked instantly for me. Go right up to the point where it will crash, do a quick save. Then reload your quick save before you crash. Then I was able to proceed exactly where I could not get through before the quick save & crash before.

Tried all the ideas in this thread, but this is still happening for me.
Can't finish the game. Amazing there is such a game-breaking bug in a game which has been out for so long.

Well replaying the game again and surprise surprise the same bloody problem all over again.
In my first play through I could sprint through but that no longer seems to work and neither do any of the suggestions above. Really Bioware this is unacceptable given the amount of time since the original post and extremely frustrating when all we want to do is finish the game..

Well THANKFULLY I can retract the above, mashing the quicksave button resulted THIS TIME in my relaunch of the game having me on the other side of this damn door.

Same issue here! Fixed with tip from above.
Inching very slowly over the threshold to the room, while pressing F5 for quicksave repeatedly, solved the problem for me. Being able to load the game from a point just inside of the "room-of-doom" was enough to stop the crashing.
(before that I had tried updating ME3 & Extended Cut without result, as well as running into the room and sending the companions in first...no result)

After not having found that glitch in my first playthrough, I found myself stuck on a second one.
Apparently, what triggered the glitch for me was interacting with the medical station in the dreaded room before entering it (the interaction cursor appears through the wall), restoring an autosave from two minutes prior (with the only difference being Shepard's position, amount of remaining ammo, and the fact I hadn't interacted with the med station yet) fixed it for me.

Just wanted to add that the "walking (holding ctrl) through the door while slamming F5 to quick save over and over" technique worked for me. It was such a relief to get past that crash - starting over and having to deal with one more banshee just sounded too horrible...

This problem is total crap. I don't know why they still can't get this fixed. I have this problem with virtually every playthrough and save file. I have to do the running quick save nonsense to get through it. And even then it sometimes takes more than one try.
I shouldn't have to do this.

Got the same problem. It's a shame that this hasn't been addressed or fixed in the 8 months since it first came up.
