Has anyone been completely unable to choose between romances? I romanced Kaidan in my ME1 and Garrus in ME2 on my favourite playthrough and found myself unable to break up with either of them. Garrus is so Garrus and Kaidan is so Kaidan and I love them both. I stopped playing after Garrus' smooth-talking me back into a romance and went back to finish my ME1/2 Liaramance playthrough because my heart can't take dumping either. (Must have a Kaidan-only and Garrus-only playthrough now. Gah!)

Haha, this is happening to me now. I lost my save games due to a HD failure so my first recreated FShep romanced them both. My intention was to have broken off with Garrus and end up with Kaidan for that particular Shep but when Kaidan started on that whole "cheating" thing - I dumped him and stayed with Garrus.

I'm now doing a new game plus with the same Shepard and for some reason, I am having a hard time choosing this time. Ugh - what have I done to myself? I've started a whole new FShep in ME1 that is Kaidan exclusive so I won't have to make this choice.

Kicked Liara aside for Jack without a minute's hesitation.

And I'll happily kick Ashley aside for Miranda if I ever import that Shep into ME3.

Even though Jack and Miranda got bent over a barrel in ME3, I MUCH prefer them and their weak romances because of how amazing they were in ME2.

Sorry, I attempted to continue romances, but the game forced me to romance Kaidan again with my FemShep. Not a lot of thought was put into the romances in ME3, IMHO. They were just so...weak. Oh, well.

For me it's the opposite - I struggle to romance anyone other then Tali.

I mean, I remember trying to start a new ME2 playthrough and saying "right, i'll do a different romance this time around - mabye Jack". This pretty much went right out of the window the moment I came across Tali again on Freedom's Progress. Cannot resist.

Hahaha, I have yet to do a Tali romance 'cause I always end up going with Jack.

I DO like Tali as a character though.  Just not as much as most folks seem to.

I really should give that a shot if I ever start the ME trilogy over from scratch.

I was with Liara in my first playthrough but I'm gonna try it with Tali next!

Mabye you should. After all, it's "totally worth it."

Likewise for Jack. I'm not gonna lie, she terrified me in ME2 =P However, seeing how she completely changed in ME3 I may have to give it a go.

The romances with the ME1 characters were fine.

A far, far deeper character than the others.

Try and you'll see,

Sadly, that romance scene was not in my game.

First time I played ME1 I romanced Liara, then cheated on her with Jack in ME2, then went back to Liara in LotSB, then I plan to stay with Liara in ME3 (I heard she doesn't even get angry about the cheating... bit disappointing)

Second playthrough I romanced Tali. And now I find it hard to not romance her in any playthrough... even though she was left out of ME1 LIs. ):

I always held a candle for Tali, even back in ME1. I didn't realize that you couldn't romance her at the time though, so while I was turning away Liara and Ashely it was kind of a let down when I came to the realization that Tali and I would just be friends. I almost replayed the game to try and just get a LI before ME2 came out.

Thankfully I did not, because then I was able to hook up with Tali with no reprecussions. No broken hearts, no unfaithfulness. Just me and my Quarian lady.

Then the endings to ME3 came and wrecked all of that. Thanks Bioware!

1st Playthrough: Broke up with Liara for the second time (I still don't think she got it) and continued the relationship with Miranda. Not a big loss since I never really cared about Liara all that much.

2nd Playthrough: Left Ashley for Tali. Ashley actually grew on me so this decision was a bit harder. Maybe next time.

I'd airlock all the ME1 characters to have Thane back, even though I like some of them a lot.

Tali or Liara was the hardest decision I've ever had to make in my life.

......how sad is my life.

I'm fickle, I had Ash in 1, Kelly in 2, Liara in 3. Can't keep my pants up

If I romanced Garrus--I always choose Garrus. He's my best bro and it's impossible to break up with him. Although I felt REALLY guilty when I turned Kaidan down. In my first Garrusmance, I went on Garrus' date first so I never got the "I know why you cheated but I still love and want you back" talk with Kaidan. He just accepted that I had moved on and we were like brother and sister.

In my second Garrusmance, I went on Kaidan's date first and got that dreadful conversation. Really tough. Won't be doing that again.

I find I have to do loyal playthroughs to continue my first romance. I guess you can technically do a Thane romance and not have it affect your ME1 romance (much), but that just seems way too depressing.

Well, the only romance I've ever had throughout the trilogy with my multiple FemSheps was Liara. Yes, I'm that loyal, can't even romance anybody in an entirely different playthrough. Liara's just too admirable.

Started ME1 again with the intention to leave Ash this time and even to sacrifice her at Virmire.
When it came to the discussion wether choosing Ash or Liara I still had to think about 10 minutes to eventually choose Liara.

In all my other dozen playthroughs I've always chosen for Ash.

Never thought it would be that difficult.
I just put my hand before me eyes, setting the mouse on option Liara and hit the spacebar.

And felt sorry afterwards....man...

this game is intense

I romanced Liara in 1 but I didn't really like her character change and how she developed in 2-3. So I went with Tali, because I really liked her character in 1 but was confused as to why I couldn't romance her.

I noticed that Liara is the ugliest Asari I've ever seen, the ones in the consort chambers and the one at Zhu's hope are far more attractive then Liara IMO.
