I have interacted with the salarian in the presidium commons to activate the Heating Unit Stabilizers quest.

I have then gone to the spectre requisitions terminal and purchased the required Heating Unit Stabilizers.

I have then left the citadel to complete some main story missions.

I have then returned to the citadel and to the commons, and the salarian is standing there.

He is neither marked on my map, nor interactable, the quest is unable to be completed.

A search on the web reveals thousands of people having the same or similar issues with almost all of the Citadel missions.

A response from Bioware is needed.

Same here. Did I miss it? Or do I have to finish some priority missions?

The quicker we recieve a response from Bioware on this issue, the better.

Similar issues are effecting almost all of the Citadel quests.

Indeed it appears it has happened once more for the Cerberus Automated Turret quest.

No way to complete the quest, no way to interact with the C-Sec agent you are supposed to.

No map marker, no appropriate explanations in the quest text, indeed it doesn't update at all.

On the occasions I have been able to complete Citadel quests, it has almost always involved searching for the answer on the web, as the quest text gives absalutely no useful information.

Pretty amazing that we can take the time, in the middle of convincing alien species to lend us their defense forces, to fix heating ducts in the Citadel. I was also surprised that I had the time to fly across the galaxy and save fewer than twenty students from Grissom Academy. Granted, those students would have died if I hadn't flown right on over, but how many turians died during that same time period on their homeworld and moon? Millions? And yet it was more important to save twenty students.

The same thing, cannot even find those units. I also have the problem with the quest where a guy asks you to find what happened to his son. I've listened to the dialog of his old unit for a hundred times and still no dice.

Yes and I wonder how many Turians probably died if died if those same students weren't chosen by Shepard to act as Support, seeing as if you speak to Jack later on in the Citadel she comments on how they've been to Palaven to help out there. They are a War Asset, just as helping the Salarian with the Heating Unit Stabilizers grants you additional war asset stuff.

I just did this mission now with no issues, did it post coup (if you don't know what am talking about, don't worry you'll get to it), went to the Spectre requisition room, bought the stabilizers went to the commons, he was visible on my map and targetable when approached, all done.

So the mission isn't totally 'broken' if it was, I doubt IGN would've posted a guide on it either ;)

People before you go all angry, remember that these quest specific items appear in the spectre requisitions console only if you missed it during the mission it's available on.Well that's my theory.

These are game breaking issues.

That one, at least, isn't a bug.  Note that the location for the quest you're talking about isn't listed as "Citadel."  Then feel stupid for a few minutes. Then feel better knowing that you're not the only one who spent an hour faffing around with this quest before it clicked. >_<

Also, +1 person who can't get these stupid stabilizers.   All the citadel missions have managed to drive me nuts.  The journal is a joke; and it seems like half the quests can't be finished right away, the other half can't be finished if you wait too long.  Grrrr.  This is the only game in the series where I've to resorted to rolling in the sea of spoilers to get through my first playthrough.

Whilst I can understand you being annoyed that you can't complete this mission, it isn't a 'game breaking' issue.

Game breaking issues imho are ones that stop you from continuing the main idea of the game and as such this isn't one.

Like I said earlier, if it was totally broke, everyone would be reporting it. The truth is they aren't because it isn't effecting everyone.

This then brings up the question of "Why is it effecting some and not others?" which will obviously make it tougher for Bioware to find out what could be causing the issue.

So rather than acting like as if it is the end of the world, how about thinking about it logically rather than demanding something that you just aren't going to get as quickly as you seem to think you should.

I finished it after the Coup.

the first Spectre bought quest item goes to the bar
the second one goes the the commons

that's how I found it working

I'm having a trouble finding the dude to give the turret thing to. It says he's on the Citadel, but I've looked at every NPC on the Citadel and couldn't find him.

I'm not sure where you managed to get all that from, it is neither the end of the world nor is anyone making demands.

I am merely disapointed that an issue as widespread as this is recieving what appears to be no attention.

Your definition of gamebreaking is different to mine. This is an issue that is preventing the completion of many missions within the game, it is not a visual glitch or an annoyance, it is a fully reproducable bug that prevents access to much of the games quest content. That is indeed a gamebreaking issue, regardless of whether or not it prevents completion of the game.

A few citadel missions are bugged; the NPC shows up on map but is either not able to converse with you (a reload or a later visit sometimes unlock the NPC) or has completely disappeared from the spot.

personally for me it's more of a mild irritation. like getting soap in ones eyes. not life threatening but it burns all the same (if that made any sense) basically, if it's a bug and it doesn't resolve itself (which if it's just a factor of timing it should) it might be a problem. not a big one but still if there is some glitch here it doesn't hurt to say anything, heck if someone confirms that it's just the timing I'm sure we'll hear about it and be done with the fact. so let's chill out till we find an solid answer instead of debating it. mmkay?

I am having this same issue, along with the Aria: Eclipse issue. Not happy with how many little glitches I am having in ME3 when in 1 and 2 I had 0 issues.

POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT.

I got this quest before the coup, on my first visit to the commons. Finished this quest straight after the coup. Units are in the spectre requisitions inside the spectre office (I think, unless I remembered it wrong). Gave them to the salarian no problems, gained a fleet (Salarian Third, I think) for some spare parts.

Some of the Citadel quests are timed (e.g., I failed to finish Benning: Evidence because I got to the Citadel after the coup), so maybe the problems are occurring when you have progressed further along the plot line and the eggs have essentially all died. I dunno, just a suggestion. =)

EDIT: I should clarify by timed, I mean the order in which you do the quests. Once you've passed certain points in the main plotline some sidequests get closed. I do not mean that the game times how long you've had the quest for and then shutting it down after a certain length of time.
