In the part of Virmire, when you have to choose to save Kadian or Ash. There is a picture that shows Kadian guarding the bomb, so I can assume that Ash is with the STG squad on Virmire. In my game, I choose to save Ash, but that would also means that I saved the STG squad also, right? So why does Mordin say that Captain Kirrahe died on Virmire if I saved Ash and Ash was backing up the STG squad? I have played Mass Effect 1 for PC, when you save the squad member that is backing up the STG squad, you alos save the STG squad as well. This wouldn't be a problem if Mass Effect 1 was just remade using the Mass Effect 2 engine and better graphics or something.

I coiuld have this wrong but think I heard something about Kirrahe's survival depending on whether you destroy the Geth flyers at the refuelling platform on the way in to infiltrating Saren's base. Don't deal with them and even if you save Ash and the rest of the Salarians poor old Kirrahe doesn't make it. I haven't seen Genesis but since it's only covering five or six really important decisions it must be making assumptions about all the rest, so maybe it's assumed that the Geth flyers aren't destroyed and Kirrahe dies.

Agreed. Seems like PS3 owners miss out on a number of small details. Might not affect the overall thread of the story but I'm enjoying ME2 more from having seen so many things I did in the first game play out in the second.
