Origin (EA) is no longer running. Mass Effect 3 will now close.

Also check firewall settings to make sure mass effect 3 is not being blocked and Origin is not being blocked.
If Origin is crashing, attempt re-install of Origin not the game.

download the origin client install - set it to run via compatibility mode...
once install is finished set the origin shortcut to run via compatibility mode as well...
the game itself does not need to run in compatibility mode

use cd.. if you need to get back to the root of the drive
then cd foldername (cd program files for example)
once you work your way into the origin folder type "origin /register" restart your computer, and then try ME3 again. (this worked for a friend)
if it didn't work, do what I did.; download the origin client installer, close origin completely, run the installer and have it install origin into the same folder it's in right now. Reboot,
If it worked, awesome for you, if not then I'm not sure my friend

Okay. may have a solution; Open up a command prompt in windows and run it as an administrator. then browse your way to the origin folder through the magic of DOS commands.

once you work your way into the origin folder type "origin /register" restart your computer, and then try ME3 again. (this worked for a friend)

How do you do this? and can it be done without a cd?

1) Know where the Origin program is installed. (default it is C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Origin
2) Goto Start/Programs/Accessories
2a) right click on command prompt and select "Run as Administrator"
3) type "cd c:\\Program Files (x86)\\Origin" (or whatever directory it is in)
3a) Please note that if it is installed on a different drive, you will need to type in the drive letter followed by a colon. Example is mine is stored on the D Drive. "D:"
4) once you are in the correct drive and folder that the origin.exe program is located type in "origin /register"
Please note do not type in the quotation marks. I hope that is a better explaination for you.
