[Outlawtorn lost]

 Ok so I own and played mass effect 1 and two a bunch of times on Xbox but I just bought it me3 on pc and a friend send me his save file, I've placed it in the save folder in mass 3 but it won't read any of the data it's like it there but blank is it because I don't have me2 install on my computer? Is the a way I can get it to work?
