 Trying to connect for 2 hours while talkng to tech support each time sucks

Every time I have tried to play I get the connecting to ea mssg and nothing happens took 2 hours to connect the first night and now the same thing is happening customer support has been nice but they have not done anything about it..... plz bioware stop making it mandatory to connect to ea servers I cant play a game I paid almost 80 dollars for
