Sense then I have played almost every rpg under the sun. the ME series are among my favorite RPG's, ME1 was outstanding! Then EA took over Bioware and they lost their way.

ME2 was ok at best, you could clearly tell EA had their say in the game. When it comes to ME3 I am left very disapointed!

The game starts out with more cut scenes then you can shake a stick at. You have very few choices that make any inpact on the game its self. I felt as if the story was on auto poliet and every here and there you could make a choice. Also the game played more like Call of Duty then a RPG. Sure they let you pick where you want to go but after that the game is 100% leiner.

I would rate the graphics at a 10, the game has some of the best graphics that I have ever seen on PC. I would also give the sound a 10, the games sound is mind blowing on good speakers. As for the story I would give it a 6, the story left me confused 95% of the game. And only during the last hour did the peices start fitting into place. I felt as if Bioware could have fed us more info early on. And over all game play I am going to give it a 7, beause it played more like a FPS then a RPG.

Over all it took me 13hrs to finish the game and I think its safe to say that Bioware are no longer the Great RPG makers they use to be. Until (if ever) they break away from EA, dont expect too much from Bioware!

How on earth did you finish in 13 hours? Did you listen to everything people had to say? Did you do side missions? I'm playing on casual as well for my first playthrough and i'm almost 20 hours in an only at the beginning of the second act.

I think you are lying. Not to mention there is no way you could get enough assets in that amount of time. There are a lot of things i LOVE about ME3 but there are a lot of things i HATE. In many ways the game is better when it comes to cinematic and dialogue, you just get fewer choices. However your choices in previous games have a bigger impact.

I think they sacrificed choice in THIS game for choices in previous games.

Would you like me to spoil the game for you and tell you the ending? I only did the quests that were given to me. And beisdes I would hardly call them a quest. The were more like FPS levels, they funnel you from point a to point b on a set path which you can not vary from and then they send wave after wave of mobs until a set time is reached. You can not advance or retreat until every mob is dead.

13 hours? why did you rush through? no wonder you didn't like it. The game is as deep as you want it to be. I'm 23 hours in and no where near finished.

I played the game from a RPG stand point. I went everywhere the game told me to go. I did not see the point of doing side missions. For one you have very little choice on whats going to happen to you in game. For 2 the planets played like FPS levels then a true rpg.

If the game had real quests I would have completed them. My last Oblivion save has 320hrs and I completed every quest in the game. Heck I even played through the original Dragon Age more times then I can remember.

Side missions aren't necessary but a lot of them add considerably to the RPG aspect of ME3. A lot of the side missions made me reconsider many feelings I had about the reaper invasion or specific species.I'm only 10 hours in and nowhere near to finished. Maybe you want to do a slower replay?

There is no need to replay once you beat the game they let you go back and finish anything you didnt finish in game.

did you look at your email.. like AT ALL?? also, how about exploring the citadel? you dont even have to talk to people.. just walk around exploring gives you a bunch of quests and stuff to do. thats mainly what i did yesterday and i played for like 7 hours.

also, i did a cerberus mission where i had to get a few artifacts from a lab. when i was done, sure i had to survive until my transportation arrived.. but once it did, i could leave whenever, and when i did leave, there were still mobs attacking.

as for exploring.. this isnt a sandbox game world like skyrim. and it was never advertised to be as such. but you certainly have a choice in what missions to go on.. if you want to spend a few hours and just knock out some side quests.. you can, or you can decide to advance the story. and you can advance the story in multiple ways.. they generally (except for the first hour or so) dont just give you a single mission to go on. you can choose where to go.

so i call bullocks on the 13 hours.. maybe on my 10th playthrough where i know what i want and dont want, and i know where everything is, it will go that quick. but right now, nope.

I have no idea how someone could possibly finish the game in 13 hours unless they did zero side quests and talked to no one. I talk and listen to every conversation.

What part of the ending would you like to know? Because trust me I beat the game.

Also they give you nothing to explore if your lucky they give you a room with some ammo and let you click a few things.

From a rpg stand point you get to make very little choices in game that have any effect on the ending. I did not see the point of dragging the game out just to say I completed everything in game.

There were way too many cut scenes. The first 3 hours of the game are 70% cut scene and 30% game play. Heck you can not even explore the Nordmany until your 3 hrs into the game. The game almost felt like MGS4.

And how would you know if you didn't do any of the sidequests? Sure some are just your standard kill all the Cerberus units/or geth/ or reapers, but there are several sidequests that have an impact on your war assets depending on the way you handle them from rescuing a volus ambassador and getting the volus fleet or finding who has been using the old batarian diplomatic codes which leads you into another run in with Balak if you let him live.
Also if anyone feels free to disagree with me, fine, but I thought the sweetest moment so far (beside Tali telling my shep that she loved him and him replying Keelah salai) was the mission where you ran into Conrad Verner again and depending on your choices in past games he can take a bullet for Shepard.

Oh man that made me really sad. I know he was never good at anything he did to help, but he always tried his best. He had all the heart it took and more, but he didn't have what shepard has. It really was something to see. He wanted to help so bad, and the single war asset point i got from his dissertation will always be precious to me.

If cutscenes are there to establish the narrative and setting then they are good, ME3 was much better in the opening than ME2 was because you had things going all over the place and they are broken up.
Honestly I don't know how you went through the cutscenes cause I was off the citadel and onto the normandy within an hour thirty at most and that's counting the two and a half missions I had (escape earth, mars, citadel)
I have never played MGS4 so I will not comment on it but I didn't find myself bored in any of the cutscenes of ME3

I was about to cry out actually when it went into slow motion and the gun went off, but if you don't mind a spoiler:
If you get Jenna out of Chora's den in ME1 then she is in the area and uses her omni tool to jam the gun and make it looks like the guy shot, she is impressed about how Conrad was willing to take a bullet for Shepard and they hit it off, I was like "awwww " mixed with laughter.
