I am concerned that people are saying there's so little variety in the endings, I assumed I had just seen one of many endings. :/
Don't even use the plural form. It's an ending, that's it.

@Bro_9009: This is excellent news. Publicity is exactly what this situation needs.

85% want better endings. That's a goddam super-majority!

Please BioWare, I'd like to have a proper closer for the end of the Mass Effect triligy.

I chose the 'control reapers, mass relays destroyed' option.
If we're gonna make Shepard into a modern messiah, I'm okay with that. It can be truly moving if done correctly, but I don't think it was. I was hoping at least for a scene of your crew mates and friends mourning and acknowledging the fact that Shepard just died for them and their continued survival.
Perhaps insight as to what will happen in the sol system with so many people in it. Are there enough turians and quarians etc outside the sol system for them to continue existance? Because I don't think most of them will have much of a chance on Earth, considering it already has a populace.
Then that part there at the end with the Normandy. Where did it end up? I don't think that was Earth, so.. I guess I just don't understand what relevance this has to anything that has ever happened in the Mass Effect series. Or is this a hint as to a future mass effect game or something? Either way, it's a precious amount of time that could have contained something meaningful to us.
I've only done the 1 ending so far (I think it was the paragon one) so I intend to find out what the others are.
I was also disappointed Harbinger was strangely absent from the game all the way til the very end with a 10 second segment (You wouldn't even know it was him if you didn't recognize the light pattern on his "face"). I didn't want him to have the humiliating role he had in the 2nd, but I was hoping for at least a conversation with one of the capital ships, not just a ground reaper.
All in all, an amazing game that's one of the best I've ever played and may ever play... at least until the final cutscene

My exact sentiments. The ending had incredible potential: it was going really strong until the narrative imploded on itself right after the mass relays blew up.
Shepard's death (or the lack thereof) is inconsequential: what matters the most is that we do not see his/her motivations behind the choice and/or the effect of his/her act of sacrifice. We are only given fragments of what happened; none of which leads to any form of closure.
This lack of closure is not only disorientating for the viewer, it is also robs any sense of satisfaction for people who have grown fond of their Shepards. The final sequence of images before the credits added absolutely nothing to the narrative.
I kept wondering: what motivated Shepard to pick his/her choice? What was he thinking in his defining moment? What did he hope to achieve? They could have answered this actively (through monologue -- as the ending did in Deus Ex) or retroactively (through the reactions and thoughts of the supporting cast -- as the ending did in Metal Gear Solid 4).
It was a waste of a fantastic opportunity; if they managed to nail the resolution, the ending could be as powerful as Solid Snake's farewell at the end of MGS4.

Like its been expressed in this thread the game was amazing, it dropped the ball and took a few steps back in progress like mission tracking (i honestly couldn't tell what i'd done in a missions progression) to name one, but all the amazment and joy i felt from this game died horribly when i made my choice at the crossroads and had no idea what the outcome was.

another point : Why did the last image i saw is Liara when my femShep is with Garrus ?!
i wish for a 4 endings like say : **** u god child i go back on my planet and if i end up in a giant boom so be it !
Bioware say its was the end of mass effect so why leave us with an ending that lead to only more questions ?!
