Same here. Running Windows 7 64-bit on a late 2010 Macbook Pro in Bootcamp. Every half hour or so the screen cuts to black and I get white noise, forcing a restart. Tried running in compatibility mode, and re-doing drivers, with no luck. It seems like the error is more common in certain instances; I get it pretty often in multiplayer, and in conversations with certain characters (spec. Dr. Chakwas).
I don't really mind the single player part, but having to cut out of mp games is pretty rude.

Hey everyone been playing constant now have not had a problem again so the roll back on the Nvidia drivers did it for me. Now for the people with the ATI cards try rolling back as well is the only thing i can suggest other than making sure your audio drivers are up to date. Or if they are up to date then try rolling them back to an older version. I do think there is a problem with WIN 7 64 bit which i find crazy since so many people use it. I mean are u telling me that the bio-ware testers dont use win 7 64 bit hell at this point wouldnt surprise me they tested this thing on Linux lol.

I've now tried to rollback to older drivers and i couldnt even play for 10min before the game froze my entire system, what the hell bioware this is getting a bit retarded how about you give some damn assistance up in here.
And just to be clear this is the ONLY game in history on my PC that has EVER hard frozen my system like this.
Edited: Right after i posted this my windows actually BSOD'd me, thats the first BSOD on this computer ever so thank you bioware you have actually managed to damage my windows install, i think i'm done with you people now

I've been having this problem also. After the 5th crash I've decided to check my CPU, since it's overclocked. After few test, and bumping my CPU Voltage a bit, game is working ok now ( not a single crash after about 5-6 houres of gameplay). So either I'm lucky or it is CPU related. I've done also 2 reinstalls via Orgini, and yes ... I'm using Windows 7 64-bit.
I hope it helps.
Edit. After 2 days of stable gamplay, game crashed again.

So ya, i have now tried ME3 on a completely freshly installed windows disk there is nothing else on it besides Mass Effect 3 and Swtor for fun i played SWTOR first for about 5 hours NO PROBLEMS, started up ME3, 15 min boom system locks up.
I have checked my ram, i have checked my CPU, i have checked my GPU, i have tried old drivers, i have tried new drivers, there is nothing wrong on my end, so what in the blazes is going on? i have paid for this product and i want to use it, but currently i can not because of TERRIBLE support from bioware, and i have tried all the work arounds nothing helps, so step up bioware or lose a costumer for life.

Same Problem here. After 5-60 Minutes the game freezes and I have to push the reset-button. Drivers are Up-to-date. The problem occurs often in dialogue situations, sequences and sometimes while running around. The screen stops moving, sound will change to some kind of a sustained strange sound and my PC won't react to anything but a reset. (It simply doesn't want to react. No way to run task manager or something else.)
My System:
Intel i5-2400 3,1 Ghz Quad
4 GB DDR Ram
GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Newest Driver, Downgrade didn't help)
Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit

I have the same problem. I dont know if this can damage my computer, so i try to not play at the moment.. I have tryed to repair ME3, reinstall Origin and ME3, update drivers and use older version nvidia driver ( 285.62-desktop-win7-winvista-64bit-english-whql ). Also checked sound drivers and DX. All is updated.
I have no lagg, no frame drop, the game runs perfect, but every 10-60 min the game freezes and i am forced to restart. Ctrl+alt+dlt does not work. I have not changed any of the video options in game, since it wasnt that much to change.
Ingame options
Resolution is 1920x1200, antialiasing is on and dynamic shadows is on.
Mass Effect 3 Configuaration Utility is default. I havent changed anything there. (found in Origin games folder, then ME3 and Binaries)
Aspect ratio: Widescreen 16:10
Res: 1920x1200
Anti-Aliasing: On
Motion Blur: On
Dynamic Shadow: On
Number of cinematic lights: 3
Use spherical harmonic lightning: On
Anisotropic filtering: 8x
Computer specc:
Intel® Core i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40 GHz
8Gb DDR Ram
Dual GeForce GTX 560 Ti (using SLI, also crashes when i disable SLI)
Win 7 64-bit
Maybe some useless information here
But i have no ide what to do. And i am afraid that it can damage my hardware when the computer freezes like it does and i have to restart. Any help would be very much appriciated. Because i love the game, and would like to continue playing it
Thanks

Yep, this was my problem until I followed someone's advice (from EA) and now I'm getting blue screens of death within minutes of loading the game.

Tryed another repair with old nvidia drivers, and lasted 5 min untill it froze again and had to restart. Would be nice with some kind of update from the tech. If anything is being done to fix this. Because the game is unplayable for me and those with the same problem right now.

Well, I tried deactivating CPUs, too, but the problem still occurs. Everyone posting here is using a Quad-Core and Windows 7 64, right? This might be a useful information for Bioware. I hope they will be able to fix that problem fast.
Edit: Interesting.. Windows 7 showed me several Graphiccard-Errors by looking at Problem Solutions (I don't know the englisch term, it's the small flag-symbol). The Problems are dated 8.3. and 9.3. Don't know if it's important, but maybe there is some connection to our problems.

Tryed to set affinity now, and same crash after 10min. And i also have Quad-Core and Win7 64bit, so that might be the problem

the only common thing all systems reporting this error is: win7 64bit and Quad Cores, but i won't hold my breath for a answer from bioware they been pretty much ignoring this thread for 3 days straight not even awknowledging the problem

Setting the affinity works for me. I'm sitting on an E6600, so dual core. Those on quad core should probably try a mix of taking the affinity down to three, two or one and see if it makes a difference. Remember that the affinity has to be set each time the MassEffect3 process runs.
