As the title says, god your AI teammates are rubbish.
With their powers turned to auto they hardly ever use them, I had to micromanage them through the entire game.

Their targetting is just awfull, if the hostiles are like 20+ meters away they won't engage.
And no matter what weapon I gave them they never really felt like they where in the fights with me.
I'm guessing my squadmates killed less 50 enemies through the game, despite me trying to give them good lanes of fire.

And the ending come on.... what was that?
Would someone tell me who wrote that, so that I can stay away from any future product they are involved in.

Most likely. I found myself mushing button C a couple of times when I couldn't find them backing me up.

That happens when they have a set path that they need to follow. You're unable to command them when they're like that. For story purposes. For example, when you meet Garrus and he leads you to the general at the camp, he's supposed to walk on his own so Shepard can follow him.

In combat though, yeah, the AI isn't any better than it was in ME2. Makes it really difficult when the enemy AI is on steroids and you're trying to deal with both them and micromanaging your squad. And I'm playing on Normal. Insanity is going to truly be Insanity this time around if the squad acts like they've never held a gun before.

I found it a little better then in the other 2. Now when I give Garrus a Sniper Rifle, he'll actually hang back and take cover alot while he uses it as opposed to running up into face hump range with enemies.

Playing on insanity and the squadmates are worthless. The only reason to bring them along is the hope one might make a funny joke or two.
