Your assertion that we should have been given a good ending is false. Bioware told the story how they wanted it to be told.
I for one would like a good ending DLC, but Bioware doesnt owe it to me to include one at all.

And not many people trust them to do it unless Bioware can make money for it. I mean, would you really want a Firewalker quality ending?

Also, it is important to note that the gameplay and the story were both satisfactory but saying that it will have many different endings because they will not be tied down for another game, so they are free to have different endings and then those differences being rather miniscule in regards to Shepard/Normandy fate, is very disappointing.
So from now on I will wait to see the reviews of their games before buying them.

most people that rate this game low, are rating it low because they werent given the choice to have the 'good' ending.. that tells me they EXPECTED the ending to be there to begin with.
personally i think the opinions on the endings are subjective, and it boils down to personal taste.. also, i personally havent seen the ending of the game for myself, so im witholding judgement.
however, if the endings really are as bad as some are saying, does it really make sense to have the attitude 'well.. its ok if all the endings are horrible.. just make it 'better' and charge me an extra $10 to get it.. '
say wha?
if you think the endings are really that bad, and its something you expected to be there in the first place - (this is a generalized comment.. its not directed at you personally) - IMO, you shouldnt accept it as DLC. you should demand they patch it in, or at least expect they offer it as new game incentive (i.e. like they did with shale/zaeed).
why? because if you accept it as paid DLC, you are telling the developers and publishers they can get away with that kind of thing in the future..
have a crap story and a crap ending.. no pro. we'll just monetize the good parts later and charge extra for it.

That's kinda messed up. You can't please everyone true, but if Bioware paid attention to the forums the could of easily slipped in a couple of good endings based on what players were expecting.
Remember when people wanted to romance Garrus and Tali? They hooked them up. Alot of things players wanted they did, but also things they didn't want ( how things works i guess) So it isn't farfetched to end Shepard's story in such a way that players get closure but also a happy ending.
Shep deserves a break. He went through the Council shunning his Reaper proof, died in ME 2 (twice if you died at the end) and then got labeled a terrorist for working along side Cerberus even though he was only doing so to accomplish an impossible goal. Now if you had the sole survivor background, the Akuze incident.was another thing. I mean all that and I kind of understand why he killed himelf.
Joking aside he never gave up hope despite what those around him thought, despite only having one person truly have faith in him (Anderson) This man/woman deserves a rest and I don't mean the permanent kind either.
After all that give Shepard a better end.

Or EA want to milk some more from Shepard and they will realse a new game because we where so dissappointed with this ending. Just a thought
they are only doing that because we (yes, myself included) allow them too.

Still what are we suppose to do? We will still buy it, it's just now that you see aftermatch from the COD gener when people actually get pissed off after so many years of the same **** but they still have a huge fanbase, I just pray to god that this is not the future of bioware

Not much choice though. We ask them for better endings and hope that they give them to us as downloadable content. Then at least we get some closure and happiness. If we demand it and ask for it for free, I doubt they would do it. Money is a strong motivator.

for me it would be acceptable if normandy crashed on earth, at least the game could end with a memorial or something with (if any) survived crew pay tribute to shep's tomb or statue.

demand better and have the dscipline to not buy an inferior product?
im not saying im any better, but thats what it boils down to really.
edit: as an example, if everyone followed the DLC boycott, like they didnt have 2 million sales on day one, they had ZERO, you dont think that would have impacted bioware?
of course it would have.

Edit. Yeah sure but we have invested time and emotions to the series, honestly if ME3 had been one game im unsure if I had bought it but we are fans of the series and we want to continue on "our Shepard" becase we have made choises from the other games. (But now they just feel meningles)
