I have not gotten to the end yet so I can't comment on
the ending. However I feel as if EA has forgotten that they made ME1. In ME 1
not only did I save the Queen but I also put Anderson on the council. Now in
ME3 Udina is on the council?!?!?! I know in the codex it says that Anderson
quit. So what was the point of even picking Anderson or Udina in Mass Effect 1?
None that I can see because the Council did not play a major role in ME2.
You got to speak to Anderson and the council once lol.
And on to the Queen. Every time they talk about the Queen in ME3 they say the
deal was if we "released the queen then they would disappear forever"
That was not the deal made in ME1 and even in ME2 you had that Assari on Ilum
tell you that the queen was doing well on another planet and that when the time
came she would remember where said planet was.
Also on the queen i have heard that if you choose to kill her the Reapers somehow
found another queen. Even though the Rachnai are supposed to be extinct. So why
even have us make that choice if we just get to make it again in 3?
I have played all the Mass Effect games and I would have liked to have been rewarded
for my choices that I made in Mass Effect 1. It would have been nice if
Anderson was still on the council and they just left some other Admiral on
Earth or better yet. Have councilor Anderson come back to Earth to visit Sheppard
and check out the defenses. Then have that opening sequence of events. Have
Anderson say something about staying and telling Sheppard to tell Udina he is
the new earth councilor. That would have made more sense than just pretending
that our choice in ME 1 was for nothing. Not to mention this would have been very cost efficient
by just having Keith David say some different lines.
As far as the queen goes if you killed her in ME 1 I don't think the reapers
should have Rachni. If you chose to save her then sure maybe she got captured.
This game was supposed to be a Trilogy and as it stands right now it does not
seem that anything you did in ME 1 had any impact on ME3. I also assume that if
you chose to let the Council die in ME 1 it will have little impact on ME3 even
though if you did let them die the council was made up of Humans in ME 2. You
should at least get a boost in readiness if the council was all humans or some
sort of war assets.
Other then these issues I love the game. I have
not beaten yet so I am not sure how the game will end. I assume that the
catalyst will have to be Sheppard but that is only a guess.
My issue with mass effect 3

Nope bro, those are perfectly good arguments. It's because otherwise people who haven't played ME1 or ME2 would lose a chunk of the story. (with the rachnii thing)
I preferred Anderson to remain councelor aswell, i wanted to kill udina already in ME1

Thats fine with the Rachnii but I don't think its a HUGE part of the story. You have one level where the Krogan want you to go check out some missing scouts. Then Rachnii are an enemy you see later. It would have been nice to be rewarded with an extra "level" and extra enemies for those loyal to the series.

I was wondering about the Rachnii thing, but I don't have any saves where I destroyed them. I think that if you did, they shouldn't be there and as a result the reaper forces are a bit weaker because of it(and you don't get the war asset of being paragon with them). For people that are just starting in ME3 and don't know all the story, you could just made the default option that shepard saved them in ME1.
As for Anderson, that confused me at first. I thought that the game had actually just ignored my choice back in ME1 to put Anderson on the council. I get that they needed him to play leader of the resistance on earth, though I do feel they could have had an in-game dialogue to at least acknowledge your choice.

Right the dialogue would have been nice.. and Rachnaii are in no matter what. One reason I have not beaten the game yet is I started another game with my Renegade Shep. So they are in even if you killed the Queen

I understand EA trying to get some new people into Mass Effect series but you and i both know that the majority of people that will buy this game are people that have played all three. I don't know how much PS3 sales will be but I am sure they will not even come close to Xbox and PC sales

They probably have the numbers somewhere of people who imported old saves. I would actually be interested to know what % of people did, as I imagine you could safely assume that most returning players are importing saves.
A little bit of dialogue would have been enough to deal with the Udina/Anderson thing, would have just been a few lines of Anderson saying he needs to stay on earth for the resistance and Udina has to temporarily take his place on the council since he's the human ambassador. I am rather happy about how it ended up playing out, though.

It would be interesting to see the stats of people importing.
