Yeah, there's a thread about it in the gameplay forum. I'm pretty sure they might bundle it with a weapon like they did with some armors for ME2, but yeah, they're selling war assets.

As if I didn't have reason enough before to be pissed...

I guess people will buy it since the die hard RPG fans wont spend much time in MP, and "system" scanning will get old really quick. Still kind of a low thing to do in order to get a "better" ending.

Still think its a dumb thing to happen.

Artificially motivating people to keep playing an aspect of the game only ends up leaving a bitter taste in peoples mouths.

Also - I'm going on holiday for two weeks - YEAAHH! Goodbye 14%.

As you can get the best ending without doing an MP, I consider it rewarding you for exploring different aspects of the game.

If you like SP only than you'll need to do more SP content than someone who does SP and MP, but... that's a good thing, isn't it?

I think part of it is that I'm a completionist. I end up doing everything I can my first playthrough, so MP is just an extra to me and not necessary.

You can promote MP characters that hit level 20 and they'll join your SP game... in some capacity.

That doesn't answer my question. Let me reformulate: When does MP affect Galactic Readiness? Simply when you play it or once you import your MP characters?

After every multiplayer game, whether you win or lose, you'll get a notice (along with the XP and credits you earn) saying (for example) +9% Galactic Readiness.

What's the magic number of war assets for the "perfect" ending if you don't want to worry about multiplayer decay? This is kind of confusing! I will play multiplayer but it's not my intention to grind any decay.

Still - if I put in the hours and get my readiness up to 100% - shouldn't that be my reward to keep?

I think the only thing it needs - is a lock readiness button - so it can't go up or go down. But so you can lock it when you know you're not going to be able to play it for a while then unlock it when you get back.

wow. didn't know that. So I could play up until the ending, gain all my needed war assest then come back 14 days later and miss out on my good ending?

Guess, I'll just stop playing now until I get back...kinda stinks.

If you get all the war assets then you wont need a readiness value higher than 50% anyway.

I think it's 4000... So 8000 with a GR of 50%. Might need to go up to 5000 (10000) if you make the 'wrong' choices during the campaign though.

I'm not a fan of the GAW being tied to MP in the slightest, but I agree that there should be an option to lock it if you aren't going to be playing for awhile. It's not far for it to degrade when you can't do anything about it like that.

Yeah, I don't get the degrading readiness either.

I hear your readiness effects all your saves because the MP component can't apply GR to a single player. Maybe they're thinking that people will finish one game and then wait awhile before starting a new one?

Haha. It was on topic - it was a reference to how galactic readiness goes down as fast as my dignity when alcohol is involved.

Yeah, there's a thread about it in the gameplay forum. I'm pretty sure they might bundle it with a weapon like they did with some armors for ME2, but yeah, they're selling war assets.

Unless they plan on releasing new endings that require more points it's utterly pointless.

Selling endings? How would they advertise that? What would be the point of purchasing an ending that you already know? Also, selling endings would be an admission that what they made wasn't good enough as an ending to ME3. I honestly couldn't respect that.

If you read the story forum people are begging them to sell them a new ending....
The endings are dire, they would be bad in a one off game but as the endings of a trilogy they just defy logic.

Assets/GR is a bit like the timed days in a game like Atelier Totori, at first it looks like a difficult/impossible task but ultimately it's not that hard.I suppose you could sell assets to exceptionally lazy people , but then you have to wonder why they would not just look on youtube.

I would not be too shocked if some "alternate" ending DLC goes up

Not going to lie. The sheer amount of bull that this game is forcing on us might make this my last Bioware/EA purchase.

I expect war assets DLC and wouldn't be surprised if they sold alternate endings as well. That being said, they should have given much more consideration to the end of their most popular IP, rather than using ones from elsewhere.

14% is 5-7 wins or thereabouts and if you fully play the SP to completion you massively overkill what you need anyway. Take a pill guys. Your female teenager drama is vastly overblown.

Promoting puts that soldier into your war Assets, which is the bigger number you see not the percentage number.
War assets are Anyone or thing that is going to help in the war against the reapers. Galactic Readiness is pretty much the war Asset's moral in each quadrant. Which actually makes sense on how beating MP missions is the only way to gain it, seeing as Moral goes up as a side gains victories in wars.

I've been watching my galactic readiness go down steadily at a rate of about 3% per day. It certainly isn't 1% per day. My GR was 90% yesterday and today it's 87%. The day before that it was 93%. It's a crap way to make people play the multiplayer anyway...

Bottom line here is if they really want people to continue playing the multiplayer they're going to need to add more content and make it more interesting , because it's a bit dull as it is.
