Since I've had this game (2 days) I've been able to play a total of 2 hours of campaign and it's because it keeps constantly crashing! This is unacceptable!!

When I first got the game I couldn't even start it because it wouldn't give me the option to confirm my character profile. Then it just keeps constantly freezing up when I try to access any menu. I can't even open up the option menu! What the heck is this about? Then when the game does load and I am able to actually move somewhat forward in the story, I go to manually save so I don't have to replay the same part another 50 times, it freezes on the save menu and I'm back to square one. 

I've been stuck in the Citadel, trying to move forward with the story for 2 days and I CAN'T DO ANYTHING. Every action Shepard takes, freezes him in place but background noise is still going. It's getting so frustrating, I don't even want to play it anymore. 

Bioware, I'm extremely disappointed in the quality of the release. I want to like your game, hell, I love the previous ones but I can't like it if I can't even play it! The game won't save or let me access any menus. 

My console is a first gen 20GB PS3, but it's been playing every game fine. Please fix this.

Uninstall the game then turn the power off hold power until you here three beeps it will turn off again hold power button until it beeps two times now plug in your usb cable to the ps3 system and to the controller you will get an option to wipe system data this does not wipe your system it defrags your old as hard drive after all that take a vacuum and vac all the cap out of it them reinstall the game.

Note: DONT DO STEP 5! It will completely format your HD and your saves will be gone! 3 and 4 is all I did and it worked.

I have a 250gb slim, having the same problem. Only with ME3 and of course Skyrim, none of my other games freeze

This is exactly what was happening with my launch 60Gb PS3. Unforutnately nothing worked because some of the physical memory fried in the system. So when the game tries to access resources that it depends on to operate it crashes. I called EA and Sony and wasted 6+ hours trying to get to the bottom of this. My warranty was voided when I opened up my PS3 to dust it out last year so I had no other choice but to buy a new PS3.

Now, I have a new PS3, and it freezes no matter what I do. I think I bought a faulty system or something. Its a slim 160Gb model the freezing seems to occur at the graphical level. FML

For $99 Sony will replace that console with another slim.

EA support told me to delete all the game data, then try the game again. If that doesn't work, I have to convince amazon.com the exchange it for a new game disc. If that doesn't work I have to call them back.

So after i was able to get onto the Normandy and get on with the game, I had maybe about 3 days of play time where it was flawless. No game freezes at all when I pick up a weapon, or decided to enter the Normandy.

Then the update for 1.02 came out and all hell broke loose again. I couldn't play 5 minutes after I loaded because I had tried to pick up a weapon. Luckily, I was paranoid so I kept a save file right before it and tried it again but still had the same results. Had to reboot about 5 times before I gave up and left the weapon on the floor. Then when I had made it back to the Normandy, I tried upgrading weapons and the same exact thing would happen. The menu that pops up for you to confirm to pick up the weapon, upgrade the weapon, confirm the purchase, or confirm to go back to the Normandy will not show up and causes you to just freeze.

This seems like such a miniscule problem but it's so persistent in the game that it's rendered it a unenjoyable experience. A game where it's constant menus to upgrade stuff and skills and I can't even do that! Bioware, please read this and get a patch out.

 I have the same issue. It has something to do with the hdmi output. I tried playing with the RCA cables and it worked perfectly fine. No freezing at all when accessing the menu. Somehow this is the only game where I find this problem.

I have a 320gb slim that's only 2 months old, and the only problem I have had was the mission I played sure,you after the 1.02 update. It was Jacobs mission on the cerberus base right before the atlas at the end when your working your way to the LZ. There were several enemies dropping in all over the place including phantoms and engineers. Plus there were a lot of shield generators in that area as well. It hasn't done it since on any other mission probably due to too much on the screen at once. This and being kicked from the MP servers frequently in the past week are the only troubles I have had.......so far.

i've had 3 freezes (with corrupt file message) and i've frozen once trying to access the refugee camp. pretty crappy. the game just sputters along. everytime you do something it feels like it will freeze

I personally had 5 freezes that required the ps3 to correct the hard drive corruption. I have never had that issue in my brand new ps3. Then again the people playing on pc and 360 are having massive issues them selves.
