Here's the story: my game couldn't decide whether I killed the original Queen or not. When I imported my save, it specifically said in the little list of decisions that I'd spared/freed it. Perfect, right? Then I notice some fun stuff while playing: Garrus mentions that I killed it during a conversation about 'em. Later, when I'm actually starting the mission with the indoctrinated Queen, Shepard mentions saving her. Later still, Shepard changes his mind and says "But I killed her!" - or something to that effect. Make up your mind, dude.
When I actually get to the source of the Rachni, it's the false Queen. So yeah, that's a glitch - and it's screwed me out of Rachni support, if memory serves. I don't know if it's brought up before (I failed to find anything after a quick forum search), but I've seen at least one other person mention it happening to them on another gaming forum.
That all being said, what's your experience with it? Have any of you had this happen yet?
Rachni Queen glitch.

That hasn't happened to me. But as frustrating as that bug is, it is kind of amusing at the same time.

Oh, sure, it's amusing (as are the numerous other, smaller glitches I've also run into, like Shepard walking through closed doors and Garrus's arms going through his body in a cutscene), but it's still frustrating. How could this sucker be overlooked during development/testing? Gah.

I didn't have that happen. I saved her in ME2 and the game recognized it just fine.
You didn't use a save game editor on your ME2 save, did you? Accidentally having both saved/killed check could probably make something like that happen.

Your not alone. Same thing happened here. As well as other glitches.

Playing on Xbox, I have also encountered this exact same problem.
I have also encountered a problem with the skin of the Queen appearing properly. Twice now I have played through that cut scene and had a bare frame model of the queen with no outer skin rendered over the top.
Additionally, I have noticed that it doesn't seem to matter whether I choose to kill or save the 'false' queen, I am awarded Renegade points either way... although I can only be 100% certain of that when I played with no ME2 import.
