After Javik (prothean squadmate) told me the history of the Prothean Empire, it instantly remind me of the Rakata Empire from Kotor, another BW game.

Both were a race that ruled the galaxy a very long time ago, both were conquerors and slavers, dominating new worlds by using brute force.


Am I the only one who noticed the similarities?

Didn't the Rakata also "mysteriously" vanish or am I remembering that wrong?

I didn't even think of the Rakata at all throughout talking to Javik, but now that you mention it, they do seem somewhat similar.

Considering the Star Maps Prothean Beacons in ME1 and Ebon Hawk Normandy, I can see epintares making a comic out of it at some point.

Didn't thier empire just collapse, slaves rebelled and whiped their exsistance from history?

I didn't actually remember. Looks like it was a combination rebellion/plague that did it.
