Renaming BINK Files To Speed Up The Game

In ME2. I know we were able to remove/replace/rename the Bink (.bik) movie files. The loading screens were a popular target since they were long and they had to play completely regardless whether or not the actual loading of the level had finished.

The Mass Relay jump sequence when traveling to a new system was another good one to get rid of, along with the opening EA sequence so you could jump right into the game once you clicked the icon.

With that said, I tried doing this in ME3 and I've had no luck. When I rename or remove (or even replace with a 1 frame .bik file) the opening EA movie (ME3_ProCit_Loop.bik I believe), the game just crashes.

If I remove the Mass Relay jump movie (GLO_01_Relay.bik) the game freezes. I had it work ONCE where I chose a new star system and it instantly transported me there without playing the movie.

I wonder if anyone else has tried this or had any success with this? I realize the loading screens and things like that are fine in ME3 (They are up for less than a second on my SSD), but the opening movie and the Mass Relay plot movie are just in my way!
