Thanks for giving me a game I can't play Bioware. Even if I crack it (Which certainly nobody here would do anyway) I wouldn't be able to play multiplayer or use my DLC. Please tell me someone has a fix?

I'm to the point where I'm thinking of re installing windows, but that's just ridiculous.

Ive seen another guy getting a similar error, but relating EAcore.dll. He has tried copying files from a working install but it didnt help.

Even here on this forum, half the threads are about this issue and there are ZERO Bioware responses to them, they are just picking topics in between the threads just to avoid having to deal with this issue.

you might have to reinstall it. But when you gonna install it again, do this:

I tried that with a "repair install" and it got me to an activation screen instead of the 'release date check'. Encouraging, but when it asked for my serial number it would not accept my product key. Any suggestions?

i wonder if it'll work..... because i was told to DOWNLOAD all 10 gigs of the game even though i preordered the collectors edition that came with all the goodies in RL. i really am gonna be po'ed if this online download doesn't work out..... it takes 10 minutes to install the game per disc but 8 to 9 hours to DOWNLOAD the game, so I'm hoping I don't get screwed ......again.

No, i've completely uninstalled/redownloaded twice and still no go on the 'release date check' for me... this completely sucks.

Tried taking the entire copy of ME3 from a computer that it worked fine on and put it on mine via an external hard drive, and it still won't work. Something has to be blocking the files from launching or something.
Something is blocking a dependency from running or being installed, and I don't know what it is.

Don't bother, it's not promising. I tried this fix, I entered the serial key it gives you (it's at the top of the same window) and it accepted the activation. Unfortunately, the game still crashes afterwards and gives you the same DEX error.

Anyone tried replacing the ME3 exe with the demo's to see if that works?
#22
Posté 08 mars 2012 - 04:26
What I had to do was as follows:
1) Uninstall ME3, delete the ME3 directories in Program Files (x86) and My Documents.
2) Uninstall origin
3) Reboot
4) Install Origin and update
5) Download and install ME3, with the install happening while EvE Online was running
6) Initiate a repair install and reboot my machine right as the repair install starts via the case button (not the start menu shutdown)
7) Complete the repair install after the reboot.

If you are having issues, bombard them on this thread so they know that it is a really bad issue. EA seems to be responding to every thread over there.

What gets me there.. Is he edited his post. I saw his original post. It originally said "We are aware of the issue and it is being looked into." He bloody changed it to a generic response that doesn't help at all.
Yep, I caught him doing it too with the quote brackets (that don't even work... much like origin). I responded again.
