Now all that time and bioware points have been wasted, I'm extremely disappointed that something like this can happen and expect a full refund if this is not rectified.

Nope seriously they dont give a **** , and they wont do anything about it , you just have to wait like evrybody ....if you mail them you will just get random answeres like , reinstall the game ... check the repair tool.. we are working on it !
oh no send EA , EA will send you to bioware .
So for now there is nothing to do besides waiting , kinda sux for poeple who spend bioware points ( i did spend some too but hey crying yelling wont make things go faster ^^ )

1) Can I get my unlocks or credits back?
and 2) When will it be safe to purchase unlocks again?
with a heavy emphasis on 1. While I appreciate taking time to look into the problem, I really would like an answer to (1), even if the answer is no (or heck, even "we'll try, but no guarantees"). Silence just shows a basic lack of respect for people who give you money, and that's a great way to lose goodwill with paying customers.

I had spent about 40 dollars on bioware points. Just finished a match in multiplayer with my Engineer. as soon as i came out the message you get when you first start multiplayer about joining the N7 special ops team pops up.
I click to get past all that and when i go to my characters everything i've unlocked is gone. I had all the races except the drell Vanguard and Krogan Soldier... <.< Not too mention numerous weapons and some that were level 10 ...and a lot of rares and above...
I hope they fix this soon, they are a good company I just know they will fix this...I hope...lol...
Sigh...

We demand an official response, this is seriously ridiculous.

This particular issue is more serious than the others you've mentioned, because of the cash store microtransaction thing.safrrr wrote...
You guys need to stop complaining so darn much. Every game has bugs.
...
You cant expect them to solve these problems within a week. Finding bug, reproduce it, fixing, testing, putting online in that order.
Also, I don't think anyone expects this to be fixed overnight. People just want better communication from Bioware on this issue. That's what people are asking for - not an immediate fix.
It'd satisfy a lot of people if a Bioware rep were to come here and say 'okay, guys, we'll refund you your points', or 'okay, we'll restore your lost items'. That hasn't happened.
A lot of folks are also annoyed that they weren't warned about this bug BEFORE it hit them - otherwise they'd have avoided multiplayer entirely, or avoided making cash store purchases.

Or, you know, they could have hotfixed out the ability to use the store from the lobby or receive invitations in the store during the first patch! Not a permanent solution, but at least they wouldn't have nearly as many pissed off customers...

You guys need to stop complaining so darn much. Every game has bugs. Nfs shift had wrong car speed when u max ugraded them, crysis had fps problems, so did codblack ops and dirt 2. If i recall right, cod mw2 and 3 are also having atats problem. You cant expect them to solve these problems within a week. Finding bug, reproduce it, fixing, testing, putting online in that order.
I think that you should stop trolling if the issue isn't affecting you. As others have stated, it's about communication first and foremost. Yes, they sent out an email when the problem first arose to say that they knew about it, but that's it. There was no mention of what to expect from a fix or when. The longer that this issue continues, not only will more customers become increasingly irate, but it will also make it harder for them to apply a fix that won't break something else. This could have been hotpatched to simply disable the store link if readied, stopping the problem then and there, and then they could have focused on fixing the issue for already-affected customers. Instead, they've allowed the problem to continue, which has now led to new customers with the problem while old customers grow increasingly frustrated.
Had this simply been an issue of losing some "legitimate" unlocks, I don't think that people would have been as upset. A lot of people had leftover Bioware points from other games, like I did for both the Dragon Age and Mass Effects series. I used those points to get a start on getting my gear back to what I at least had from beta. Now, the issue is losing real life money over a glitch.
The subsequent, and perhaps most infuriating issue, is that they've not only not given an ETA for a fix, but they've not told anyone what to expect. If we knew that points/credits would be restored, but not items, then people could make purchases with newly-acquired points/credits and know that they would eventually be refunded. If there was going to be a rollback by account to a state when everything was unlocked, then people would know to save their purchases until after that happened. Either way, I am now "forced" to play the game with starter weapons, doing silver and gold stages with no upgrades or temp items. I have saved 1.6 million credits by now and would gladly use them if I knew what was going to happen eventually.

I unlocked Quarian Infiltrator, Drell Vanguard, M-13 Raptor, and some commen stuff. Spent quite alot of time for that. At some point my screen game got stuck on loading after the host left between games and I was forced to shut the game.
When I got back in, everything was gone as well.
I still had my points that I hadn't spent yet and human characters but that was it.
