If a friend of mine plays my Mass Effect 3 until they get their own and mine is a pre ordered collectors edition and they get the standard game, would it not let them use the save from my game on theirs because of the additional pre order items, or would it work but just disable that content? Like for example the N7 warefare gear that was available by pre ordering from certain retailers. Would they be able to use their saved game just with that gear disabled, or would it make the save useless?

I think i remember an issue i had with either ME1/2 or Dragonage where it wasnt registering me as having permission to use some items that i had paid for and it just disabled those items not the whole save, but i cant remember exactly.
